About the role:
We are looking for a team member to join our Business Development team, who will be at the forefront of our expansion efforts. In this role, you will be responsible for identifying, engaging, and nurturing new leads and business opportunities while forging strategic partnerships, and building lasting relationships with new clients and partners. Your contributions will enhance upGrad’s market presence and drive revenue growth.
Responsibilities:
- Conduct extensive cold & warm outreach via email, phone, and LinkedIn to inbound leads and establish contact with prospective clients
- Weekly revenue and enrolments tracking and reporting
- Proactively research and identify potential partners and clients within sectors that would fall under the target group
- Evaluate market trends and competitor activities to uncover new business opportunities
- Develop and implement strategic plans to expand the client base and secure new partnerships across the region
- Establish and nurture long-term relationships with strategic partners and key clients
- Serve as the primary point of contact, ensuring consistent communication and high-quality service
- Lead negotiations with prospective partners and clients by crafting compelling proposals and presentations
- Oversee the onboarding process for new leads, clients and partners, ensuring smooth integration across teams
- Monitor industry trends and market dynamics, providing actionable insights to senior management
Qualifications and experience required:
- Completed bachelor's degree in business, Marketing, or a related field.
- 3+ Years of work experience
- Strong interest in sales, partnerships, or business development
- Excellent verbal and written English communication skills
- Organized, detail-oriented, and eager to learn
- Ability to multitask and work in a fast-paced environment
- Proficient in MS Office and familiarity with tools like HubSpot (preferred)
- Comfortable with client-facing interactions.
