Job Description
Associate Java Architect (Hands-on)
Location: Kochi, WFO
Experience: 10+Years
Role Overview
We are looking for a hands on Associate Java Architect to drive end to end architecture, solution design, and delivery across a complex ecosystem involving Java backend, ReactJS frontend, and integrated enterprise systems.
This role requires a strong technologist who codes, leads from the front, and collaborates closely with business stakeholders, onsite teams, and cross-functional engineering groups.
Key Responsibilities
- Define and drive end-to-end solution architecture across backend, frontend, and integration layers
- Design scalable, high-performance microservices architecture using Java / Spring Boot
- Define API contracts, integration patterns, and communication standards (REST / GraphQL / event-driven)
- Lead and mentor a cross-functional team (30-40 members) across backend, frontend, and integrations
- Ensure scalability, performance, security, and reliability of systems
- Identify and resolve technical bottlenecks and architectural gaps
- Drive code reviews, design reviews, and engineering best practices
- Collaborate with client stakeholders and onsite architects for solution alignment
- Establish monitoring, logging, and performance optimization strategies
- Contribute actively to coding, debugging, and technical problem-solving
Must Have Skills
- 10+ years of hands-on development experience with Java / Spring Boot
- 2+ years in Architecture / Solution Design roles
- Strong experience in Microservices & Distributed Systems
- Hands-on experience with REST APIs / GraphQL / Event-driven architecture (Kafka preferred)
- Experience leading large cross-functional teams (20+ engineers)
- Exposure to ReactJS or modern frontend frameworks
- Strong understanding of system scalability, performance tuning, and resilience
- Experience with cloud platforms (AWS / Azure)
- Strong stakeholder communication and problem-solving skills
