ABOUT CELESTA
Celesta Capital in India backs deep-tech founders building category-defining companies in AI, semiconductors, and bioconvergence. With offices in the U.S., Canada, and India, Celesta Capital invests from seed through Series B in companies where technical depth creates lasting competitive advantage.

We have senior leadership based in Bangalore that works closely with our colleagues in Silicon Valley.
THE ROLE
We are hiring at the Associate level to join us in Bangalore. You will work directly with Partners across sourcing, diligence, and portfolio work from day one. The role is calibrated to individuals who can take ownership quickly. This is a full-scope investing role, not an analyst seat.
Sourcing and thesis development
- Map India's deep-tech landscape across AI/ML infrastructure, semiconductor design, and bioconvergence — building founder relationships before companies are institutionally visible
- Develop original point-of-view on emerging categories through primary research, expert conversations, and technical literature
- Represent Celesta at events and accelerator demo days across IIT, IISc, BITS, IISER and other ecosystems, network in research and startup communities
Investment Execution
- Lead or contribute to investment memos, market maps, and financial models
- Run technical and commercial due diligence — including IP assessment, team evaluation, and competitive analysis
- Present recommendations to the partnership with a clear, defended point-of-view.
- We are a lean, high-trust team. Each investor is expected to carry sectors, form independent judgment, and represent the firm externally.
Portfolio and Firm
- Partner with founders on strategic priorities, key hires, and follow-on fundraising
- Attend board and observer meetings; prepare materials and follow through on action items
- Contribute to LP communications, firm positioning, and the broader Celesta platform.
WHO YOU ARE
We hire on intellectual curiosity, technical depth, and ownership — not on a single career path. Strong candidates typically bring:
- 2–6 years of experience in founders office roles, venture capital, growth equity, investment banking (tech or healthcare coverage), strategy consulting, or a founder / early operator role at a high-growth startup
- Technical fluency in at least one of our core domains — you can engage substantively with a PhD founder on technology architecture trade-offs, IP strategy, or regulatory landscape
- A track record of original, rigorous work in ideas, deals, and ecosystem building
- Strong written and verbal communication: you write clearly and defend your views
- High agency and a collaborative instinct — you move deals forward and make the people around you better
