Role Description The Associate Interior Designer will support end-to-end design and execution of residential and commercial interior projects in Bengaluru. This full-time, on-site role involves assisting with concept development, space planning, layout design, and creation of construction and interior drawings in alignment with project requirements and brand standards. The role includes coordinating FF&E selections, preparing mood boards and presentations, and collaborating with senior designers, engineers, and site teams to ensure design intent is maintained during execution. The Associate Interior Designer will participate in client meetings, help translate requirements into detailed design documentation, and provide support during site visits for quality checks, measurements, and timely issue resolution. Daily responsibilities also include updating project documentation, maintaining material libraries, and contributing to continuous improvement of design processes and standards.
Qualifications
- Candidates should possess strong Interior Design and Space Planning skills, with the ability to translate client needs into functional, aesthetically sound layouts.
- Candidates should possess Architecture and Construction Drawings skills, including proficiency in preparing detailed plans, sections, elevations, and working drawings for execution.
- Candidates should possess FF&E skills, including selection and specification of furniture, fixtures, equipment, finishes, and materials aligned with project budgets and design concepts.
- Relevant qualifications include a diploma or degree in Interior Design, Architecture, or a closely related field, with proficiency in design and drafting software (e.g., AutoCAD, SketchUp, Revit, 3D visualization tools).
- Candidates should demonstrate strong attention to detail, basic project coordination skills, ability to interpret site conditions, and effective communication and collaboration with multidisciplinary teams.
- Prior internship or professional experience in residential or commercial interiors, familiarity with local materials and vendors in Bengaluru, and understanding of construction and site execution workflows are beneficial.
