Job Title
Business Analyst - Healthcare Payer Analytics (Advanced SQL)
Experience : 5+ years of experience in data analysis and reporting, preferably within Healthcare Payer / Insurance domains.
Work Timings : 4:00 PM - 1:00 AM IST
Role Summary
We are seeking an experienced Business Analyst with a strong background in Healthcare Payer analytics, advanced SQL, and impact reporting. The candidate must be capable of independently owning complex analytical and reporting work, translating payer data into meaningful business insights, and supporting client decision making in a fast paced environment.
Key Responsibilities
Healthcare Payer Analytics & Impact Reporting
- Independently manage end to end impact reporting for healthcare payer operations.
- Analyze payer datasets such as claims, eligibility, billing, utilization, reimbursement, and adjudication data.
- Identify trends, operational gaps, financial impact, and risk areas impacting payer performance.
- Develop insight driven summaries for leadership and client consumption.
Advanced SQL & Data Analysis
- Design, develop, and optimize complex SQL queries to support payer reporting and analytics.
- Perform SQL performance tuning, data validation, and reconciliation across multiple data sources.
- Create scalable SQL logic, views, and datasets aligned with payer reporting standards.
- Support ad hoc and recurring analytical requests with quick turnaround.
Stakeholder & Client Collaboration
- Partner with payer business stakeholders to understand reporting needs and analytical objectives.
- Translate business requirements into structured analytical solutions.
- Present findings in clear, business friendly language, supported by data.
- Operate independently with minimal supervision while managing multiple priorities.
Data Quality, Compliance & Governance
- Ensure high data accuracy, integrity, and consistency in all analytical outputs.
- Adhere to healthcare data standards and compliance requirements, including HIPAA and PHI handling.
- Proactively identify data issues and coordinate with upstream/downstream teams for resolution.
Mandatory Skills
- Strong analytical and problem solving skills
- Advanced SQL expertise (complex joins, subqueries, optimization, large datasets)
- Proven ability to independently handle complex impact reporting
- Hands on experience with Healthcare Payer data (claims, billing, eligibility, utilization, etc.)
- Strong communication skills to interact with business and client stakeholders
- Willingness and ability to work 4 PM - 1 AM IST
