Role Description

Asset Servicing Senior Analyst Role Overview

The Transaction Services team is a multi-skilled function covering asset servicing, cash operations, trade operations, and derivatives. This role is primarily focused on asset servicing activities, including corporate actions and income processing, and requires strong technical expertise, risk awareness, and leadership capability.

The successful candidate will act as a subject matter expert (SME) within Asset Servicing, oversee complex events, support junior team members, and drive process and control improvements within a fast-paced operational environment.

Key Responsibilities

Asset Servicing Operations

• Oversee and process end-to-end Corporate Actions (Mandatory and Voluntary events), including elections, entitlements, reconciliations, and settlements.
• Manage income processing (dividends, coupons, redemptions) ensuring accuracy and timeliness.
• Monitor and resolve stock and cash reconciliation breaks related to corporate actions and asset servicing events.
• Ensure all transactions and lifecycle events are processed within defined deadlines.
• Escalate issues in line with agreed risk frameworks (e.g., age, value, client impact).
• Ensure same-day, comprehensive disclosure of any identified issues.
  
  

Risk & Control

• Apply strong operational risk awareness across the asset servicing lifecycle.
• Ensure adherence to internal controls, procedures, and regulatory requirements.
• Identify control weaknesses and recommend enhancements to mitigate risk.
• Support audit queries and contribute to regulatory reporting where required.
  
  

Stakeholder Management

• Act as a key contact for Portfolio Implementers, Dealers, custodians, counterparties, and internal teams.
• Proactively manage complex client and stakeholder queries with a focus on accuracy and timeliness.
• Build and maintain strong cross-functional relationships to ensure efficient event management.
  
  

Leadership & Continuous Improvement

• Serve as a subject matter expert in Asset Servicing.
• Mentor and support Junior Analysts, reviewing work and providing technical guidance.
• Contribute to automation and process improvement initiatives to enhance efficiency and reduce risk.
• Take ownership of project work and deliver within agreed timelines.
• Effectively prioritize workload in a dynamic, deadline-driven environment.
  
  

Skills & Qualifications Must-Have Skills & Experience

• Strong experience in Asset Servicing, including end-to-end Corporate Actions (Mandatory & Voluntary events).
• Solid experience in income processing (dividends, coupons, redemptions).
• Experience with Aladdin.
• Strong proficiency in Microsoft Excel.
• Strong understanding of operational risk and controls within the asset lifecycle.
• Proven ability to manage escalations and resolve complex breaks.
• Strong communication and stakeholder management skills.
• Experience mentoring or overseeing junior team members.
  
  

Good-to-Have Skills & Experience

• Exposure to Derivatives Operations, including Collateral Management.
• Broader experience across Trade Operations (Equities, Fixed Income, FX, Money Markets, Repo, ABS/MBS).
• Experience in Cash Operations, including payments processing.
• Knowledge of SWIFT messaging standards.
• Understanding of regulatory requirements impacting asset servicing.
• Experience contributing to system enhancements, automation, or transformation initiatives.
