Role Description
Job Title: Derivatives Analyst
Role Overview
The Transaction Services Analyst will support a multi-skilled operations team handling cash operations, asset servicing, trade operations, and derivatives. The role requires working in a fast-paced environment with a strong focus on accuracy, deadlines, and continuous improvement. A proactive mindset and interest in leveraging technology are key to success.
Key Responsibilities
- Process assigned transactions and events within defined deadlines; proactively follow up and escalate issues where required.
- Prioritize workload effectively and escalate risks or bottlenecks to senior team members.
- Investigate and resolve queries, including stock and cash reconciliation breaks, within agreed timelines.
- Take ownership of ad-hoc tasks and project work, ensuring timely delivery.
- Manage client and stakeholder communication with a strong focus on quality and timeliness.
- Adhere to operational controls and procedures; identify, report, and mitigate risks.
- Contribute ideas to improve efficiency, reduce cost, and enhance service quality.
- Collaborate with internal teams (operations, portfolio implementers, dealers) and external stakeholders for smooth daily operations.
- Ensure timely and transparent disclosure of issues identified.
Must-Have Skills & Qualifications
- Hands-on experience with Aladdin platform
- Strong proficiency in Microsoft Excel
- Excellent attention to detail and accuracy
- Ability to manage multiple priorities in a deadline-driven environment
- Strong problem-solving and analytical skills
- Effective communication and stakeholder management skills
- Basic understanding of transaction lifecycle processes (cash, trades, asset servicing, derivatives)
- Ability to identify risks and escalate appropriately
Good-to-Have Skills & Experience
- Knowledge of derivatives, including collateral management
- Experience in trade operations across asset classes (Equities, Fixed Income, FX, Money Markets, Repo, etc.)
- Experience in cash operations, especially payments processing
- Familiarity with SWIFT messaging standards
- Understanding of corporate actions (mandatory & voluntary events, income processing)
- Awareness of operational risks across the transaction/asset lifecycle
- Experience in reconciliation processes (cash & stock breaks)

Experience & Education
