JOB DESCRIPTION
Associate — Founder's Office
Full-time · On-site / no WFH · Min. 2 years experience · Startup background required
About the Role
We're looking for a sharp, resourceful, and deeply motivated individual to work directly out of the Founder's Office. This is a high-trust, high-visibility role that sits at the intersection of strategy, operations, and execution. You'll be the connective tissue between the CEO's vision and day-to-day reality — owning initiatives end-to-end, representing the company externally, and making sure nothing falls through the cracks.
This is not a support role. It's a thinking-and-doing role. If you thrive in ambiguity, move fast, and care deeply about building something that matters — read on.
What You'll Own
Investor Relations & Fundraising
• Build and maintain strong relationships with existing and prospective investors
• Own the end-to-end process for funding applications — grants, accelerators, angel rounds, and institutional capital
• Create and iterate on investor-ready pitch decks, one-pagers, and data rooms
• Draft investor updates, MIS reports, and follow-up communications
• Track fundraising pipeline and maintain an organised investor CRM
CEO Office & Strategic Operations
• Manage the CEO's calendar, priorities, and task follow-ups to protect their time and focus
• Prepare briefing documents, meeting summaries, and decision memos
• Attend key meetings, capture action items, and drive closures on behalf of the CEO
• Act as a proxy for the CEO in select internal and external conversations
• Coordinate cross-functional execution on strategic initiatives across teams
Legal, IP & Compliance Coordination
• Liaise with legal counsel on patent filings, follow-ups, and IP protection timelines
• Track regulatory, compliance, and corporate governance milestones
• Coordinate with external advisors for documentation, agreements, and filings
Communication & External Presence
• Draft high-quality external communications — emails, proposals, partnership outreach, and funding applications
• Represent the company in select calls, events, and ecosystem engagements
• Help shape and maintain the founder's voice across internal and external channels
What We're Looking For
Must-haves
• 2+ years of experience in a startup environment — you know what it feels like to build with limited resources
• Demonstrated experience in investor relations, pitch deck creation, or startup fundraising
• Outstanding written and verbal communication — your emails, decks, and spoken words are always crisp and clear
• Proficiency with AI tools (Claude, ChatGPT, Notion AI, Perplexity, etc.) to accelerate research, drafting, and analysis
• Strong project management instincts — you close loops, nothing slips, and you default to action
• Comfortable with ambiguity, context-switching, and a calendar that looks different every week
Nice-to-haves
• Experience working directly with a founder or C-suite leader
• Familiarity with the Indian startup and investor ecosystem
• Prior exposure to patent processes, legal coordination, or IP management
• Background in consulting, investment banking, or venture capital
• Ability to build presentations that are visually polished, not just content-complete
You'll Thrive Here If You
• See 'miscellaneous' tasks as opportunities, not distractions
• Take ownership without being asked twice
• Are obsessively organised but can let go of structure when the situation demands it
• Are genuinely excited by the chaos and speed of early-stage company building
• Want a front-row seat to how a company is built — strategy, capital, people, and product
