Role Description
This is a full-time, on-site role for a Deputy Editor located in Delhi. The Deputy Editor will oversee the editorial process, ensuring that content meets high-quality and accuracy standards. The role involves liaising with authors, editors, and other stakeholders, planning and managing production schedules, and ensuring timely delivery of publications. Responsibilities also include maintaining adherence to editorial guidelines, supervising content revisions, and implementing innovative editorial strategies to support the company’s goals.
Qualifications
- Strong writing, editing, and proofreading skills with a keen eye for detail
- Experience in content strategy, planning, and development for print and digital formats
- Proficiency in research and capability to manage editorial processes effectively
- Knowledge of publishing standards and styles in educational materials
- Excellent project management and multitasking skills
- Strong communication and collaboration skills to work with cross-functional teams
- Proficiency with editorial tools and software; familiarity with design principles is a plus
- Prior experience in the educational publishing industry is advantageous
- Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science, Social Science or a related field
- Ability to think innovatively to enhance the quality of content and meet organizational goals
