We are seeking a talented individual to join our Training (Insurance Operations) team at Marsh Risk, a Marsh business. This role will be based in Mumbai. This is a hybrid role that has a requirement of working at least three days a week in the office.
Associate Director – Training (Grade F)
The Senior Learning and Development Specialist will play a pivotal role in designing, developing, and delivering comprehensive training programs tailored to the needs of our colleagues in India, and the Pacific region enterprise wide. This role will have a systems and induction training focus, helping colleagues navigate and effectively use our operating systems and processes. At times, the role will be required to step-in and support other team members on technical training activities.
The role will collaborate closely with internal systems subject matter experts and cross-functional teams in India and the Pacific region, to ensure delivery of training that is aligned with business goals, systems use requirements and compliance requirements. The role will also have responsibility for the development and ongoing implementation of onboarding and induction training for roles in India who work directly with teams in the Pacific.
We will count on you to:
Systems Training
- Work with systems subject matter experts and other key stakeholders to determine learning requirements for a variety of audiences – including systems and procedures
- Design and develop high quality and engaging, end-to-end systems training courses. This includes , instructional materials, e-learning modules, instructor-led courses (virtual hybrid and in-person), blended learning programs and other materials as required
- Development of learning events and learning pathways using Workday and Degreed platforms
- Oversee the learning management system (LMS) to ensure efficient set up, user engagement and reporting
- Stay up to date with the latest instructional technologies and tools, recommending solutions to enhance learning experience and engagement.
- Develop a process of oversight and governance of regular reviews and updates of system training courses and content in line with system changes and updates.
- Set up a system of regular system refresher training including recording and reporting, aligned to a recommended cadence.
- Direct the maintenance and updating of systems training resources on platforms such as the Marsh Training Hub on SharePoint, Degreed Pathways, Workday Learning,
- Coordinate and support training sessions virtually and in-person, including facilitation and workshop coordination.
- Deliver internal training on systems to ensure colleagues meet Continuing Education (CE) and Continuing Professional Development (CPD) and business requirements.
- Assist with Workday administration tasks such as mass enrolment forms, course setup, and updating course content.
- Facilitate onboarding plans and induction schedules, collaborating with HR and L&D teams to align onboarding with talent development initiatives.
- Support the maintenance and updating of training resources on the Marsh Training Hub on the SharePoint platform.
- Coordinate and support training sessions virtually and in-person, including facilitation and workshop coordination.
- Assist in the creation of CPD reporting and tracking of mandatory course completions.
- Collaborate with centralized teams to design training content related to Marsh Risk.
- Where required, create process maps and training materials related to business systems and procedures.
Onboarding Experience
- Facilitate, coordinate and supplement onboarding plans and induction schedules for India roles directly supporting Australia and NZ, collaborating with HR and L&D teams in Pacific to align onboarding with existing regional or enterprise frameworks and priorities
- Set up a regular review and update onboarding content.
- Provide coaching and guidance to managers on effective onboarding and colleague development practices.
- Ensure compliance with organizational practices, legal requirements and diversity and inclusion standards throughout onboarding
- Monitor and report onboarding metrics and KPIs to senior leadership to demonstrate effectiveness.
- Provide effective reporting of onboarding performance to senior leadership, enabling informed decision-making
Technical Training
- Support exam supervisory requirements and accreditation processes as needed.
What you need to have:
- Minimum 10years of experience in learning and development or training roles.
- Demonstrated experience in designing and delivering digital and virtual learning solutions.
- Experience managing multiple projects and adapting to changing environments.
- Experience with onboarding and talent development initiatives.
- Familiarity with accreditation and compliance training processes.
- Demonstrated experience with Articulate, PowerPoint, SharePoint

- Strong instructional design capability with experience building e-learning content, using Articulate , Sharepoint, PowerPoint, and other Microsoft Office suite
- Proficient in digital learning platforms, including Workday, SharePoint, MS Teams, Zoom, and other generative AI tools.
- Excellent communication and facilitation skills for virtual and face-to-face training.
- Ability to build relationships and influence stakeholders across multiple teams in multiple countries
- Ability to work in a changing work environment and demonstrate flexibility and problem-solving skills
- Should be comfortable with 6.30am – 3.30pm shift
