Key Responsibilities
Strategy & Platform Growth
● Lead social media strategy across brands including Mashable India, Hauterrfly,
Mashable Middle East, and IGN India
● Drive growth across Instagram, Facebook, YouTube, LinkedIn, Twitter, and fan pages
● Define platform-specific approaches based on audience behavior and performance
trends
● Identify new opportunities for reach, engagement, and scale
Content & Campaign Management
● Oversee content planning and ensure a strong mix of editorial, trend-led, and IP-based
formats
● Review and approve high-impact content across platforms
● Collaborate with editorial, production, and brand teams for campaign execution
● Ensure consistency in quality, tone, and output across brands
Performance & Analytics
● Track daily, weekly, and monthly performance across platforms
● Analyze data to identify insights, gaps, and growth opportunities
● Benchmark against competitors and industry trends
● Maintain and review reporting systems and dashboards
Growth & Distribution
● Lead distribution strategies beyond publishing, including reposting, repackaging, and
partnerships
● Manage paid growth through META ads and other tools
● Optimize content performance through continuous testing and iteration
Platform Management
● Drive platform-first strategies:
○ Instagram: reels-first, high-volume content, trend responsiveness
○ YouTube: Shorts-led growth with long-form support
○ Facebook: watch-time focused content and monetisation
● Ensure best practices are followed across all formats and platforms
Team Management
● Lead and manage a team of Assistant Managers, Social Media Executives, Editors, and
Interns
● Set clear goals, workflows, and accountability systems
● Conduct regular check-ins and performance reviews
● Ensure smooth execution across all brands
Cross-Functional Collaboration
● Work closely with editorial, sales, brand solutions, production, and client servicing teams
● Align social media output with business and campaign objectives
● Coordinate with leadership and channel heads on strategy and planning
Daily Operations
● Monitor trends, news cycles, and platform updates
● Identify content opportunities in real time
● Ensure page hygiene, accuracy, and timely publishing
● Maintain strong internal communication for quick execution
Requirements
● 5-8 years of experience in social media, digital content, or related roles
● Experience managing multiple brands or high-volume content environments
● Strong understanding of Instagram, YouTube, and Facebook ecosystems
● Hands-on experience with analytics tools such as Meta Business Suite, YouTube Studio,
and platform insights
● Proven ability to lead teams and manage cross-functional stakeholders
