Position Title: Associate Director – Compensation & Benefits | Program Leader Strategic Initiatives
Function: Human Resources.
Role Summary
This role is a combination of two key strategic roles reporting directly to the Chief People Officer. It is an individual contributor role to start with and will gradually evolve. The incumbent will work in collaboration with all the other COEs in HR function and leverage broader teams.
- Design, delivery, and transformation of compensation and benefits programs globally in partnership with regional teams.
- Drive and program manage some critical Enterprise-wide strategic initiatives beyond compensation and benefits.
This role combines operational excellence, strategic leadership, and transformation ownership, with a mandate to improve reward effectiveness, organizational clarity, and employee experience aligned to business priorities.
Responsibilities
Compensation and Benefits
- Define and evolve compensation philosophy (market positioning, pay mix)
- Design salary structures, incentive plans, and benefits programs
- Lead end-to-end execution of annual compensation cycles (merit, promotions, bonus payouts)
- Ensure statutory compliance and policy governance
- Manage relationship with external vendors
- Improve digitization, data availability and integrity
- Design and manage job architecture, bands, and grading frameworks
- Align rewards with business performance and talent priorities
- Partner with HR leaders, business leader on Workforce cost planning, retention strategies etc.
- § Strengthen pay-for-performance linkage (KPIs → performance → payouts)
- § Simplify compensation structures to improve clarity and transparency
- § Leverage analytics and digital tools for decision-making
- § Enhance employee communication and understanding of rewards
Enterprise Strategic Initiatives (Beyond C&B)
Lead and drive cross-functional strategic HR initiatives, such as:
- Partner as a reward specialist in Performance management transformation (e.g., KPI frameworks, scorecards)
- Organizational effectiveness and productivity programs
- Policy simplification and governance improvements
- AI led transformation initiatives
- Ad-hoc initiatives and programs that feed into organization's growth and profitability
Ideal Candidate
- Graduate or Postgraduate degree in Business Administration, Management, or a relevant discipline. MBA or equivalent professional qualification from a reputed institution is preferred.
- 6-8 years of experience in Compensation & Benefits along with exposure to running some enterprise-wide initiatives / programs.
- Demonstrated experience in a multinational or large enterprise environment, managing cross-functional teams.
- Strong expertise in compensation design, analytics, and problem-solving
- Ability to influence stakeholders and drive change
- Strong business acumen and execution rigor
