We are seeking a highly experienced and strategic digital marketing professional for the role of Associate Director / Assistant Director – Digital Marketing (Performance Marketing). The ideal candidate will lead end-to-end digital marketing initiatives, drive performance marketing campaigns, and oversee marketing technology, analytics, and lead generation strategies to support institutional growth and outreach objectives.
The role requires strong expertise in performance marketing, media planning & buying, CRM platforms, campaign optimization, and stakeholder management. The candidate should have proven experience in managing large-scale digital campaigns with budgets of ₹3 Crore and above.
Key Responsibilities
Strategic Responsibilities
- Design and execute comprehensive digital marketing strategies across programs and initiatives.
- Build and strengthen end-to-end digital marketing capabilities aligned with organizational goals.
- Establish best practices for campaign planning, execution, optimization, and reporting.
Performance Marketing & Campaign Management
- Lead performance marketing campaigns across multiple digital platforms.
- Manage media planning and buying, search marketing, lead acquisition, conversion rate optimization, and campaign analytics.
- Develop and optimize landing pages and CRM workflows to improve lead quality and conversions.
- Drive admissions-focused as well as general lead generation campaigns.
Marketing Technology & Analytics
- Work closely with technology teams to align marketing systems with broader digital strategy.
- Implement and manage CRM and marketing automation tools such as Salesforce Marketing Cloud, Sales Cloud, HubSpot, LeadSquared, Microsoft Dynamics, Brandwatch, etc.
- Lead campaign analytics and reporting with a strong focus on ROI and optimization.
- Develop long-term data and analytics frameworks to support decision-making.
Stakeholder Management & Collaboration
- Collaborate with senior leadership, academic teams, marketing teams, and event teams.
- Build and maintain relationships with media agencies, corporate partners, government bodies, NGOs, and other external stakeholders.
- Work cross-functionally to achieve marketing and institutional objectives.
Team Leadership
- Lead, mentor, and develop a high-performing digital marketing team.
- Foster a culture of performance, accountability, and continuous improvement.
Financial & Budget Management
- Plan, manage, and monitor digital marketing budgets effectively.
- Ensure optimal allocation of resources across campaigns and initiatives.
Required Skills & Competencies
- Strong expertise in Performance Marketing, Programmatic Buying, Google Ads, Social Media Marketing, and Publishing Partnerships.
- Strong understanding of CRM systems and marketing automation tools.
- Data-driven mindset with strong analytical and optimization skills.
- Excellent communication, presentation, and stakeholder management skills.
- Proven leadership and team management capabilities.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced, goal-oriented environment.
Qualification & Experience
- Bachelor’s degree in any discipline with relevant certifications in Digital Marketing / Performance Marketing preferred.
- Minimum 15 years of experience in digital marketing, paid media, media planning, and online marketing.
- Prior experience in a senior performance marketing role in a digital-first agency or large organization preferred.
- Proven experience managing campaigns with budgets of ₹3 Crore+.
- Experience in leading teams and delivering measurable business impact.
