Role Overview
We’re looking for an ambitious
Associate Director- Ad Sales to join our client Ads team. In this role, you’ll drive
new client acquisition and
media sales growth by pitching client’s differentiated commerce media solutions to
brands and agencies.
This is not just about selling inventory — it’s about helping brands
drive measurable outcomes (ROAS, conversions, customer growth) across the open internet. You’ll combine
relationship-building, consultative selling, and market intelligence to establish client Ads as a must-have channel for D2C growth.
Key Responsibilities
- 1. New Business Development
- Identify and prospect D2C brands, advertisers, and agencies for client Ads.
- Generate a strong sales pipeline and achieve monthly/quarterly revenue targets.
- Build strategic partnerships with media agencies (large, mid-sized, independents) to drive adoption.
- 2. Consultative Selling & Proposals
- Understand client business objectives and translate them into tailored client Ads media plans.
- Develop and deliver compelling sales presentations, proposals, and pitches.
- Work with the AdOps and product teams to design effective campaign strategies.
- 3. Campaign Activation & Growth
- Ensure seamless handover from sales to account management for campaign activation.
- Stay engaged with clients during early phases to ensure confidence and upsell opportunities.
- Collaborate with KAMs to grow client spends and deliver consistent ROAS improvements.
- 4. Relationship Management
- Build and nurture long-term partnerships with advertisers and agencies.
- Act as a trusted advisor to client decision-makers, focusing on outcomes vs. impressions.
- Represent client Ads at industry events, conferences, and agency meets.
- Ability to work in a cross functional leadership to align internal success.
- 5. Market Intelligence
- Track industry trends, competitor activity, and new ad formats/platforms.
- Share insights internally to refine sales playbooks and go-to-market strategies.
Qualifications & Skills
Must-Have
- 5-8 years of experience in Ad Sales, Media Sales, or Business Development (digital-first).
- Proven network with advertisers and media agencies (large, small, and independents).
- Deep knowledge of digital advertising, programmatic buying, and AdTech solutions.
- Excellent communication, negotiation, and consultative selling skills.
- Track record of meeting/exceeding revenue targets.
Nice-to-Have
- Experience selling in D2C, ecommerce, or retail media ecosystems.
- Exposure to MarTech/AdTech platforms (Criteo, The Trade Desk, DV360, MoEngage, Braze).
- Comfort in startup environments with high growth and fast execution.
- Leadership and team management skills as this role grows into a manager role.
