Job Summary
We are looking for a Head of Content Marketing (or Associate Director – Content Marketing) who can own and elevate Exponents' content game across all marketing channels. This is a senior individual contributor-cum-leadership role for someone who understands the nuances of writing for American B2B audiences, thrives in a fast-paced agency environment, and can translate complex business ideas into compelling, conversion-driven narratives.
The ideal candidate brings 5–10 years of experience in content marketing, B2B copywriting, or brand communication, with a strong, demonstrable track record of writing for US audiences, preferably in agency, trade marketing, or experiential marketing contexts.
This role is based in India and works closely with Exponents' US-facing marketing, sales, design, and leadership teams.
What You'll Own
🎯 Core Marketing & Business Content
- Develop a deep understanding of Exponents' Ideal Customer Profile (ICP) — American businesses that exhibit at trade shows — and create content that speaks directly to their goals, pain points, and decisions.
- Write and own high-impact content across the funnel: website pages, pitch decks, case studies, brochures, sales collateral, email campaigns, and brand communication.
- Create content specifically tailored to the trade show, exhibitions, and experiential marketing industry for a US B2B audience.
- Partner with the sales team to develop persuasive, audience-specific communication that supports business development and client acquisition.
Key Responsibilities
Business & Marketing Content
- Understand Exponents’ ICP and develop high-quality content for various marketing channels such as the websites, pitch decks, case studies, presentations, marketing collateral, and branding initiatives.
- Create engaging and persuasive business communication for US business customers
- Develop content for exhibitions, trade shows, experiential campaigns, and B2B marketing initiatives.
- Collaborate with digital marketing, design, sales, and leadership teams to create campaign-focused and business-driven communication.
Digital & Website Content
- Develop content strategies aligned with branding initiatives and website engagement, SEO performance, and business targets for Exponents.
- Write SEO-friendly website content, landing pages, blogs, service pages, and digital marketing copy.
- Ensure consistency in brand tone, messaging, and communication across all digital platforms.
- Support marketing campaigns through conversion-focused and high-performing content.
Creative Content & Research
- Translate complex business ideas into clear, engaging, and professional messaging.
- Research industry trends, competitor positioning, customer insights, and market opportunities to create relevant content.
- Create content for Leadership keynotes / podcasts and story board for various creative mediums such as videos, case studies and white papers.
- Contribute to thought leadership initiatives, brand storytelling, and strategic communication projects.
- Supports business development and client acquisition.
🌐 Digital & Website Content
- Lead content strategy for Exponents' website — covering service pages, landing pages, blogs, and campaign microsites — with a strong focus on SEO performance and lead generation.
- Write and optimize SEO-driven content that improves organic visibility, drives qualified traffic, and supports conversion goals.
- Ensure brand voice, tone, and messaging consistency across all digital touchpoints.
- Support performance marketing campaigns with sharp, conversion-focused copy.
💡 Thought Leadership & Creative Content
- Develop thought leadership articles, white papers, and LinkedIn content that position Exponents as an authority in the trade show and experiential marketing space.
- Create scripts and storyboards for video content, podcasts, and leadership keynotes.
- Research US market trends, competitor positioning, customer behavior, and industry developments to inform content strategy and ideation.
- Contribute to brand storytelling initiatives that strengthen Exponents' positioning in the global marketplace.
✅ Editing, Quality & Team Leadership
- Review, edit, and elevate content produced by the broader content and marketing team — ensuring accuracy, clarity, brand alignment, and editorial excellence.
- Establish and enforce content guidelines, tone-of-voice standards, and editorial processes across the team.
- Manage multiple content projects simultaneously, ensuring on-time delivery without compromising quality.
- Mentor junior content writers and contribute to building a high-performing content function.
What We're Looking For
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Mass Communication, Journalism, English, Marketing, or a related field. A Master's degree or MBA in Marketing is a plus.
- 5–10 years of experience in B2B content marketing, business copywriting, or brand communication.
- Prior experience in advertising agencies, marketing agencies, branding firms, or B2B product/service companies is strongly preferred.
Must-Haves
- Demonstrated experience writing for US audiences (minimum 2 years, consistent and verifiable) — this is non-negotiable.
- Strong command of American Business English — tone, idioms, business communication style, and cultural context.
- Proven ability to write across formats: long-form, short-form, web, social, sales, and executive communication.
- Solid understanding of SEO fundamentals, content strategy, and digital marketing ecosystems.
- Portfolio of work that demonstrates range, quality, and impact.
Good to Have
- Experience using CMS platforms (WordPress, Webflow, etc.), SEO tools (SEMrush, Ahrefs, etc.), and project management tools (Asana, Notion, etc.).
- Exposure to AI writing tools (ChatGPT, Claude, Jasper) and how to use them responsibly to enhance and not replace, human creativity.
