Associate Director – Ad Sales

Role Overview
We are looking for an Associate Director – Ad Sales to drive revenue growth and new client acquisition within a fast-growing AdTech ecosystem. This role focuses on consultative selling, building strategic partnerships, and helping brands achieve measurable outcomes across performance marketing and commerce media.
Key Responsibilities
New Business Development
- Identify and acquire D2C brands, advertisers, and media agencies
- Build a strong sales pipeline and consistently achieve revenue targets
- Establish and grow partnerships with large, mid-sized, and independent agencies
Consultative Selling & Strategy
- Understand client objectives and create tailored media strategies and proposals
- Deliver compelling sales pitches, presentations, and solution narratives
- Collaborate with internal teams to design high-impact campaign strategies
Campaign Activation & Growth
- Ensure smooth transition from sales to account management for campaign execution
- Stay engaged during early campaign stages to drive confidence, retention, and upsell opportunities
- Partner with account teams to improve ROAS and campaign performance
Relationship Management
- Build and maintain long-term relationships with advertisers and agencies
- Act as a trusted advisor, focusing on business outcomes over impressions
- Represent the organization at industry events, conferences, and client forums
- Collaborate cross-functionally to ensure client success and alignment
Market Intelligence
- Track industry trends, competitor activity, and emerging ad formats
- Share insights to improve sales strategies and go-to-market approaches
Required Skills & Qualifications
- 5–8 years of experience in Ad Sales / Media Sales / Business Development (digital-first)
- Strong network across advertisers and media agencies
- Deep understanding of digital advertising, programmatic buying, and AdTech ecosystem
- Proven track record of achieving and exceeding revenue targets
- Strong communication, negotiation, and consultative selling skills
Preferred / Nice to Have
- Experience in D2C, eCommerce, or retail media ecosystems
- Exposure to AdTech/MarTech platforms like Criteo, DV360, The Trade Desk, MoEngage, Braze
- Experience working in startup or high-growth environments
- Leadership potential with ability to scale into a team management role
