Role Description The Associate Dentist will provide comprehensive dental care, including diagnosis, treatment planning, and delivery of restorative, preventive, and basic endodontic and prosthodontic procedures. Day-to-day responsibilities include examining patients, interpreting radiographs, performing treatments such as fillings, extractions, scaling, and root canal therapy, and educating patients on oral hygiene and preventive care. The role involves maintaining accurate clinical records, adhering to infection control and safety protocols, and collaborating with dental assistants and support staff to ensure efficient clinic operations. The Associate Dentist will also participate in case discussions, follow evidence-based guidelines, and contribute to a positive patient experience. This is a full-time, on-site role located in Tamil Nadu, India.
Qualifications
- Professional clinical skills in diagnosis, treatment planning, and delivery of routine restorative, preventive, and minor surgical procedures.
- Ability to interpret dental radiographs and apply evidence-based clinical decision-making in patient care.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills to explain treatment options, obtain informed consent, and build trust with patients and colleagues.
- Commitment to strict infection control, sterilization, and clinic safety protocols.
- Recognized dental degree (BDS or equivalent) from an accredited institution and current eligibility to practice dentistry in India.
- Attention to detail in maintaining clinical records, prescriptions, and follow-up documentation.
- Ability to work collaboratively within a multidisciplinary team and manage time effectively in a busy clinical setting.
- Interest in continuing education, staying updated on new dental techniques, materials, and technologies.
- Prior experience as a practicing dentist or internship/house surgeon experience in a clinical environment is preferred.
- Comfort working with diverse patient populations and a respectful, gender-neutral, and non-discriminatory approach to patient care.
