Role Description
8–12 years of experience in Software Quality Assurance, with 4+ years leading QA for Microsoft Dynamics 365 CRM projects
Role Summary
The D365 QA Lead is responsible for defining and driving the overall QA strategy, execution, and automation for Microsoft Dynamics 365 CRM implementations and upgrades. The role ensures functional correctness, integration stability, data accuracy, and release quality across CRM modules, while leading QA teams in Agile delivery environments.
Key Responsibilities
QA Strategy & Leadership
- Define and own the QA strategy, test approach, and release readiness for D365 CRM programs
- Lead and mentor manual and automation QA teams; perform reviews and quality audits
- Establish test standards, best practices, and governance across projects
Manual Testing (D365 CRM)
- Plan and execute functional, regression, SIT, UAT, smoke, and sanity testing
- Validate D365 modules such as Sales, Customer Service, Marketing, Field Service, Finance
- Test customizations, plugins, workflows, business rules, BPFs, security roles, and dashboards
- Perform integration testing with ERP, Power BI, SharePoint, Azure, and external systems
- Support data migration validation, reconciliation, and cutover testing
Automation Testing
- Design and maintain automation frameworks for D365 CRM
- Automate regression and critical flows using Selenium / Playwright / TypeScript / Java / C
- Execute API automation using Postman / REST Assured
- Integrate automation suites with CI/CD pipelines (Azure DevOps, Jenkins, GitLab)
- Track automation coverage, flaky tests, and execution metrics
Test Management & Defect Governance
- Create and maintain test plans, test cases, RTM, and execution reports
- Manage defect lifecycle, triage, prioritization, and closure with Dev and Product teams
- Use JIRA / Azure DevOps / HP ALM for test and defect management
Agile & Stakeholder Collaboration
- Actively participate in sprint planning, backlog grooming, daily stand‑ups, and retrospectives
- Collaborate with business users, developers, architects, and PMs
- Provide quality status, risk assessments, and go‑live recommendations to stakeholders
Mandatory Skills
- Strong experience in Microsoft Dynamics 365 CRM QA
- Manual testing across Sales, Service, Marketing, Field Service modules
- Automation using Selenium / Playwright
- API testing (Postman, REST tools)
- SQL for data validation and reconciliation
- CI/CD integration using Azure DevOps or Jenkins
- Test & defect management tools (JIRA, Azure DevOps, HP ALM)
