Job details:
Associate / Sr. Associate – Organisation Development & Governance
(Consulting Track | TBL Consultancy Services, Pune)
About TBL - TBL Consultancy Services is a boutique advisory firm based out of Pune, working at the intersection of CSR, philanthropy, and institutional development.
We partner with promoters, family offices, and social institutions to help translate intent into structured, high-impact action—often working closely with leadership teams on organisation building, governance, and long-term strategy.
At TBL, we don’t operate like a conventional firm. We are built on trust, depth, and long-term relationships—with both clients and our own team.
Why this role exists
Many organisations have strong intent—but struggle to translate it into systems that sustain impact.
Our work lies in bridging that gap:
- Vision → Structure
- Intent → Execution
- Conversations → Systems
This role sits at the centre of that process.
You will not be “supporting projects.”
You will be shaping how institutions are built and strengthened.
Role Overview
We are looking for a Consulting Associate to work closely on organisational development, governance design, and HR structuring engagements.
You will work directly with leadership and internal teams to:
- Translate complex discussions into structured outputs
- Anchor specific workstreams
- Ensure clarity and follow-through across stakeholders
Key Responsibilities
1. Translating Thinking into Structure
- Convert ambiguous ideas into:
- Organisation structures
- Governance frameworks
- Role definitions and HR systems
- Develop clear, implementable outputs from discussions
2. Anchoring OD & Governance Workstreams
- Own 1–2 workstreams end-to-end:
- Diagnosis
- Design
- Documentation
- Iteration
- Work on live institutional projects (e.g., Veerayatan and similar engagements)
3. Building Backend Rigor
- Create high-quality:
- Meeting notes
- Reports and decks
- Trackers and dashboards
- Maintain clarity on decisions, timelines, and responsibilities
4. Stakeholder & Process Management
- Participate in leadership conversations and capture key insights
- Track progress and ensure follow-through across stakeholders
- Bring discipline and structure to ongoing work
5. Reading Between the Lines
- Identify underlying concerns, power dynamics, and unspoken priorities
- Support leadership by converting these into actionable clarity
Who we are looking for
- 2–3 years of experience in consulting / OD / social sector roles
- Strong structuring, writing, and analytical ability
- Ability to work independently without constant supervision
- Comfort with ambiguity and evolving problem statements
- High ownership and execution discipline
Who this role is for
- Someone who enjoys building systems, not just running them
- Someone who can think deeply and execute diligently
- Someone who does not wait for instructions
- Someone who values clarity, honesty, and substance over optics
Who this role is NOT for
- Someone looking for a routine, predictable role
- Someone who needs step-by-step direction
- Someone focused primarily on title, visibility, or short-term gains
Our Values (Non-Negotiable)
At TBL, values are not statements—they are how we operate daily.
- Trust before control - No micromanagement. No artificial tracking. We trust you to do what is required.
- Transparency over hierarchy - Open conversations, clear expectations, and no hidden agendas.
- Ownership over activity - We value outcomes, not busyness. You own what you take up.
- Depth over speed - We prioritise thinking right over moving fast without clarity.
- Authenticity over performance - No need to “act professional.” Be real, thoughtful, and honest in your work.
- Family First – always - At TBL, we operate like a family, not a factory.
This means:
- People come before processes
- Relationships are long-term, not transactional
- We stand by our team—in good phases and difficult ones
- Former team members remain part of the extended family
At the same time: Family at TBL also means accountability. We show up fully for each other and for the work.
Why work with TBL
This is not a conventional consulting role.
You will get:
- Direct exposure to promoters, trustees, and leadership teams
- Opportunity to work on high-trust, high-impact engagements
- Space to shape your role and grow with the firm
You will not get:
- Structured hand-holding
- Rigid processes
- Defined boundaries of “this is your job”
What you will gain
- Real understanding of how institutions are built
- Strong consulting and structuring capability
- Ability to handle ambiguity with clarity
- Exposure to leadership thinking and decision-making
Compensation - ₹6 – 9 LPA (depending on experience and fit)
Final Note: This role will demand a high level of ownership, discipline, and clarity.
It is not for everyone.
But for the right person, it offers:
- Deep learning
- Real responsibility
- And the opportunity to be part of building meaningful institutions
