Company Description WhyMinds Global is a deep tech startup focused on building AI-driven technology products and consulting solutions for sectors such as Banking and Financial Services, E-commerce, Digital Media, Regulatory Compliance, and Cybersecurity. We designs intelligence-led platforms and tools that are regulated, robust, and ready for scale. Joining WhyMinds Global offers exposure to complex real-world problems and opportunities to contribute to scalable, future-ready solutions.
Role Description The Associate Cloud & DevOps Engineer is a full-time, on-site role based in Mumbai. This role involves supporting the design, deployment, and maintenance of cloud infrastructure, ensuring systems are secure, reliable, and scalable. Day-to-day responsibilities include implementing Infrastructure as Code, managing Linux-based servers, configuring and monitoring CI pipelines, and assisting with automation of build, deployment, and monitoring processes. The engineer collaborates with software development teams to streamline releases, troubleshoot system issues, and improve overall performance and observability. The position also includes documenting configurations, following best practices for security and compliance, and participating in continuous improvement of DevOps workflows.
Preferred Qualification:
- 1+ years of experience in DevOps, Platform Engineering, SRE, or Cloud Infrastructure
- Candidate must be able to join within 15 Days / Immediate Joining Preferred.
- Demonstrated experience operating production Azure environments
- Experience supporting AI/LLM workloads (local or API-based) in production
- Comfortable working in a small startup team where you own outcomes, not just task
- Experience assessing and improving inherited infrastructure (not just building greenfield)
What you'll do:
- Build and operate sovereign cloud and on-prem deployments — the infrastructure behind WhyMinds and RegAhead.
- Own CI/CD, infrastructure-as-code and release automation across environments.
- Instrument observability, monitoring and alerting for uptime and cost control.
- Harden systems for regulated deployments — secrets, BYOK/HSM, data residency, least privilege.
- Take ownership of existing Azure infrastructure and drive systematic improvements
- Own networking (VNets, NSGs, DNS, SSL), storage, managed databases, and identity (Azure AD / RBAC)
- Implement deployment strategies such as blue-green, canary, or rolling releases as the platform matures
- Automate security scanning, dependency auditing, and rollback mechanisms • Standardize release and versioning practices across engineering teams
- Evaluate and implement the right containerisation strategy for each workload (Docker, Azure Container Apps, AKS, or similar)
- Deploy and operate AI workloads including Ollama (local LLMs), OpenAI API integrations, OpenRouter, and vector database services
- Manage GPU or compute-optimised resources where required for AI inference
- Build centralised logging, metrics, and distributed tracing across all services (Azure Monitor, Application Insights, or open-source equivalents)
- Integrate security scanning (SAST, container scanning, dependency audits) into CI/CD pipelines
- Manage and maintain Development, QA, Staging, UAT, and Production environments on Azure
