Job Description
Associate - Category Management:
As an Associate in Category Management, you will play a vital role in the strategic planning and management of product categories to drive business growth and optimize profitability. The ideal candidate for this position should possess a keen eye for market trends, a solid understanding of consumer behavior, and the ability to develop and execute category strategies that align with the company's objectives.
Key Responsibilities
- Category Analysis and Strategy: Conduct thorough analysis of market trends, competitor activities, and consumer preferences to identify growth opportunities within assigned product categories. Develop and implement strategic plans to optimize product assortment, pricing, and promotions.
- Supplier Relationship Management: Build and maintain strong relationships with Marketplace suppliers to ensure product availability, quality, and competitive pricing. Negotiate terms and agreements to drive mutual growth and profitability.
- Promotions and Marketing Initiatives: Work closely with the marketing team to develop promotional campaigns and merchandising strategies that drive awareness, engagement, and sales within assigned categories. Monitor campaign performance and ROI to make continuous improvements.
- Inventory Management: Manage inventory levels and allocations to ensure product availability while minimizing excess stock and markdowns. Monitor sell-through rates and work with logistics teams to optimize supply chain efficiency.
- Performance Analysis and Reporting: Generate regular reports and insights on category performance, sales trends, and competitive landscape. Identify areas for improvement and recommend actionable strategies to achieve KPIs.
