Role Description The Associate – Capital Formation will work full time in a hybrid capacity based in Mumbai, with flexibility for some work-from-home days. This role focuses on supporting fundraising and investor relations across Oister’s alternative investment products, including preparing pitch materials, fund decks, and data rooms for institutional and wealth partners. The Associate will analyze private market opportunities, assist in pipeline management, and coordinate with internal investment teams to translate fund strategy and performance into clear investor-ready communication. They will engage with wealth partners and advisors, respond to investor queries, and help organize roadshows, webinars, and investor events. The role also involves maintaining CRM systems, tracking capital commitments, and preparing regular reports and updates to ensure an efficient and compliant capital formation process.
Qualifications
- Strong skills in financial analysis, modeling, and valuation of private market opportunities; ability to interpret fund performance metrics and investor reporting.
- Proficiency in investor communication, presentation development, and storytelling for complex investment products; experience creating pitch books, IMs, and marketing collateral.
- Experience in fundraising, capital formation, or investor relations within private equity, venture capital, wealth management, or alternative investments.
- Comfort working with CRM tools, Excel, and PowerPoint; ability to manage data rooms, maintain investor databases, and track commitments accurately.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to engage professionally with institutions, family offices, UHNIs, and wealth partners.
- Strong organizational skills, attention to detail, and ability to manage multiple projects and deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
- Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Finance, Business, Economics, or a related field; relevant certifications (e.g., CFA, CAIA) are an advantage.
- Understanding of India’s private markets, alternative asset structures, and regulatory environment; prior experience in Mumbai or Indian financial services is beneficial.
