What you'll own?
As Carnelian expands across the Alternates (PMS & AIF) and Mutual Fund space, we are building a world-class operational and governance architecture. In this process we are looking for young Chartered Accountants who have an aspiration to learn, ambition to grow and build their career with Carnelian
Based on your strengths, you will be placed in a high-impact role across Risk Management, Regulatory Compliance, Finance, Onboarding, Client Servicing, or Operations (does not include Research).
Bypass the traditional, siloed corporate hierarchy and get a front-row seat to:
- Deconstruct complex SEBI regulations, fund structures, and valuation mechanics into operational advantages.
- Play a key role in functions like financial reporting, fund accounting, risk modeling, and liquidity management across an expanding portfolio.
- Look at onboarding and client servicing with a business and process lens to optimise flows, automation and resolve customer pain points and escalations.
- Partner directly with functional heads to design and optimize processes that protect investors and our license to operate.
- Work in a highly accessible, flat environment where your insights impact operational strategy from day one.
- Master the complete inner workings of a multi-product asset management company —from initial fund structuring to final settlements.
What will make you a good fit?
- Qualified Chartered Accountant (CA) with a strong academic track record.
- Dual qualification in CS or LLB is a strong advantage but not a prerequisite.
- Genuine curiosity for navigating financial markets, SEBI (MF & AIF) guidelines, and corporate governance frameworks.
- Any experience of working in a regulated BFSI environment is a plus
- Natural affinity for numbers, forensic accuracy, immaculate documentation, and a habit of never letting deadlines slip.
- First-principles thinker who breaks complex legal or financial problems down to absolute fundamentals to find solutions.
- Self-driven, entrepreneurial attitude with the maturity to run independently and take personal accountability for outcomes.
- Strong cross-functional communication skills and a growth mindset that welcomes mentorship and continuous learning.
