What will you be doing?
As an Associate at OakBridge, you will work alongside a driven and entrepreneurial team on diverse financial due diligence projects. You will gain hands-on exposure to our innovative approach to due diligence, which prioritizes key value drivers for clients. Combining operational and industry expertise with best-in-class financial accounting services, you will play a crucial role in delivering value throughout the M&A process.
Responsibilities include:
─ Participate in buy-side and sell-side transaction advisory engagements.
─ Perform in-depth analysis of financial information, including trial balances, income statements, balance sheets, and cash flows.
─ Prepare data books in compliance with firm and professional standards and engagement requirements.
─ Identify key financial issues and conduct relevant analysis to support findings.
─ Undertake smaller assignments or assist in larger engagements, reporting to a Vice President.
─ Highlight unusual trends and observations, framing questions for management as needed.
─ Develop operational insights using data and analytics to evaluate profitability drivers and assess key risks and opportunities.
─ Build industry-specific skills and qualifications while expanding your technical expertise.
─ Establish strong professional relationships with clients and stakeholders.
─ Contribute to ad-hoc pre-acquisition and post-acquisition due diligence and research support tasks.
Basic Qualifications:
─ Education: CA, CPA, CFA, or Master’s/PGDM in Finance or Accounting.
─ Experience: 0 to 3 years of relevant experience in a similar role.
Preferred Skills:
─ Passion for deal advisory with a strong desire for continuous learning and development.
─ Flexibility to adapt to various engagement types, working hours, environments, and locations.
─ Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with strong interpersonal abilities.
─ High motivation, exceptional work ethic, and demonstrated teamwork capabilities.
─ Knowledge and experience with data analytics technologies (e.g., Tableau, Alteryx) is a plus.
