From our UK and Morocco offices, we concentrate our efforts on emerging markets, collaborating with project developers and investors to facilitate the execution of top-quality infrastructure projects that contribute to sustainable economic growth and societal advancement.
We have supported over $11 billion+ worth of infrastructure projects globally. GIA is looking for a talented and ambitious cross-disciplinary individual to join the team as a full time Associate (candidates with 3+ years of experience).
Responsibilities
- Lead and manage key workstreams within GIA's project development and financial advisory engagements
- Take ownership of ad hoc project development tasks for high-stakes, impactful infrastructure projects
- Develop and maintain complex financial models for infrastructure projects in emerging markets
- Lead the preparation of financial analyses, investment memoranda, and client presentations
- Support business development efforts, including proposal development and client pitch preparation
- Conduct in-depth market research and analysis, including DFI project pipelines, infrastructure initiatives, and lead generation
- Manage relationships with clients, DFIs, and other stakeholders throughout project lifecycles
- Mentor and provide guidance to junior team members
- Coordinate cross-functional teams to gather and analyze data for strategic decision-making
- Deliver high-quality outputs using advanced Microsoft skills - Excel, Word, and PowerPoint
Qualifications (meet min. 3 of the below)
- MBA, MSc, or equivalent postgraduate degree preferred
- Top-tier university background requirement
- 2-4 years of relevant professional experience in infrastructure, finance, or advisory
- Working fluency in French, Portuguese, Arabic, or other languages is a strong advantage
- Demonstrated understanding of infrastructure project finance and development
- Background in Investment Banking, Private Equity, Infrastructure Funds, or Strategy Consulting is highly advantageous
- Track record of leading complex analytical projects and client deliverables
- Experience with emerging markets is a plus
