RV University invites applications from qualified and experienced candidates for faculty positions in the Office of Research and Doctoral Studies. The Research Office is responsible for research administration in the University, which includes the following:
(i) Administration of the PhD program.
(ii) Drafting and periodic review of research policies
(iii) Establishing research collaborations with governmental and non-governmental institutions and organizations.
(iv) Building the research capacity of faculty members and PhD scholars through capacity building programs.
(v) Research project management
(vi) Circulation of calls for research grants, research funding opportunities, conference papers, and research capacity building programs.
(viii) Providing support for extramural research funding applications
(vi) Ensuring ethics compliance in all research conducted by RVU faculty members and doctoral research scholars
(vii) Organization of academic events such as research seminars
(viii) Teaching of courses in research methodology, research writing and publication, and research ethics
(ix) Coordination with other offices such as the IQAC for documentation towards accreditation and ranking purposes
(x) Administration and implementation of schemes that facilitate, foster, and incentivize research output, such as career development allowance, research rewards, and seed grants, in coordination with other offices such as the HR Office and the Finance Office.

Disciplinary Background
To ensure disciplinary balance, the University intends to appoint:
- 01 Assistant and 01 Associate Professor from a STEM background
- 01 Assistant and 01 Associate Professor from a Humanities/ Commerce/ Management/ Law/ Design / Film & Media background
Appointment & Work Allocation
- Selected candidates will be positioned in the Office of Research and Doctoral Studies.
- 50% of the total workload will be assigned by the Office of Research and Doctoral Studies, towards fulfilment of the research administration activities listed above.
- The remaining workload will include teaching, research, and other academic responsibilities.
Assistant Professor (02 Positions)
Eligibility Criteria
- Ph.D. in Science / Engineering / Humanities / Commerce / Management / Design / Law / Film & Media Studies or related disciplines.
- Record of publications in peer-reviewed journals.
Experience
- Minimum 2 years of teaching/research experience in a recognized institution.
- Experience in handling courses on research methodology, data analysis, and research ethics at UG/PG/PhD levels.
- Experience in research administration.
Associate Professor (02 Position)
Eligibility Criteria
- Ph.D. in Science / Engineering / Humanities / Commerce / Management / Design / Law / Film & Media Studies or related disciplines.
- Strong academic record with publications in peer-reviewed journals.
Experience
- Minimum 8 years of teaching experience specifically as an Assistant Professor in a recognized institution.
- Experience in handling courses on research methodology, data analysis, and research ethics at UG/PG/PhD levels.
- Experience in research administration.
Competencies
Knowledge of-
- Sampling methods
- Survey design and implementation
- Research ethics and compliance frameworks
- Scientific communication and publication practices
- Proficiency in advanced data analysis tools (SPSS, R, Python, STATA, NVivo or equivalent).
- Demonstrated record of research publications and funded projects.
Desirable (Both Positions)
- Experience with research tools across the research lifecycle, including reference management, plagiarism detection, bibliometric databases, and data visualization tools.
- Ability to support institutional research metrics, rankings, and accreditation processes.
- Experience in supervising doctoral scholars will be an added advantage.
