Role: Associate Architect - Data (Snowflake)
Experience Level: 8 to 10 Years
Work location: Mumbai, Bangalore & Trivandrum
Notice Period: 0-15 days
Role & Responsibilities
- Design and develop data warehouse solutions using Snowflake Data Platform on Azure.
- Lead the development of data pipelines and orchestration using Azure Data Factory (ADF) for data ingestion, cleansing, and transformation.
- Implement robust error handling, alerting, re-set and re-try logic, pipeline management, and monitoring within ADF.
- Implement incremental data loading using CDC and watermark-based methods.
- Apply best practices in Snowflake Administration & Optimization, including secure data access and governance.
- Translate detailed business requirements into technical data solutions, collaborating with architects.
- Lead, mentor, and conduct code reviews for Junior Data Engineers.
- Design cohesive, end-to-end data processes, considering the big picture.
- Utilize Azure Data Platform services including Azure Data Lake Storage (ADLS), Azure Key Vault, and Snowflake on Azure , etc.
- Develop and optimize complex SQL queries.
- Implement CI/CD pipelines using Azure DevOps, understanding Git and branching models.
- Knowledge on financial processes such as budgeting, forecasting, financial reporting, accounts payable/receivable, general ledger, and treasury operations, and relevant financial regulations.
- Apply strong understanding of core financial concepts, accounting principles (GAAP/IFRS), and financial statements (P&L, Balance Sheet, Cash Flow), with familiarity in Sage Intact GL, SkyGen, and ClearWater.
- Lead requirement gathering efforts with stakeholders and teams, and drive collaborative project execution. Assist in development and developing automated testing for data pipelines and data quality.
Skills Expectation
- Snowflake Expertise: Expertise on Snowflake, including best practices in Administration & Optimization, and secure data access and governance.
- Data Warehouse Design and Development: Experience using Snowflake Data platform on Azure (Preferably).
- Data Pipeline Development & Orchestration: Expertise using ADF to ingest, cleanse, transform data, including robust error handling, alerting, re-set and re-try logic, pipeline management, and monitoring.
- Incremental Data Loading: Experience using CDC and watermark-based methods.
- Leadership & Mentorship: Ability to lead, mentor, and conduct code reviews for Junior Data Engineers.
- Technical Solution Design: Ability to translate detailed business requirements into technical data solutions and design cohesive, end-to-end processes.
- Azure Data Platform Services: Experience with Azure Data Lake Storage (ADLS), Azure Key Vault, Azure Data Factory, Snowflake On Azure.
- SQL: Strong SQL skills.
- Python , Pyspark experience is good to have.
- Data Modeling: Strong Data Modeling skills for Data Warehouse and Data Marts.
- Azure DevOps: knowledge of Git and branching models. Understanding the capabilities and limitations of Azure Pipelines, Releases, and Environments. Hands-on expertise in building, configuring, and deploying continuous integration and continuous delivery pipelines.
