The Associate Middleware Administrator plays a critical role in providing operational support for enterprise integration platforms, ensuring stability, availability, and continuous improvement in a highly regulated environment.
How you’ll make an impact:
- Monitor the Integration platform to ensure operational readiness, platform health, and reliable message flow, leveraging enterprise monitoring tools (e.g. message brokers, platform monitoring and observability tools such as TIBCO EMS, TIBCO Hawk, New Relic, or equivalent).
- Perform instance-level operational monitoring and routine maintenance activities, including:
- Filesystem housekeeping and cleanup
- Restarting JVM-based components (e.g. application nodes, application spaces, and integration services)
- Restarting integration runtime and administrative services
- Restarting platform monitoring and agent processes
- Restarting host adapter or connectivity services
- Conduct initial troubleshooting of integration platform issues and escalate application or integration defects to the Development or Engineering teams in accordance with defined support and escalation procedures.
- Support the installation, configuration, and validation of software patches, hotfixes, and platform upgrades under the guidance of senior team members.
- Perform routine backup, restore, and recovery activities to ensure platform stability, data integrity, and recoverability.
- Bring up and validate integration platform services following scheduled server reboots, including participation in monthly patching activities.
- Apply deployment packages or configuration changes to the integration platform as requested, ensuring compliance with established change and release management processes.
- Contribute to system or process improvements.
What you’ll need (Required):
- Bachelor’s in Computer Science, Information Technology or Business Administration (or equivalent/relevant fields)
- 1–3 years of experience in an integration platform support role, preferably supporting TIBCO platforms.
- Working knowledge of basic Linux concepts.
- Working knowledge of TIBCO BusinessWorks 6 runtime concepts.
- Knowledge of TIBCO Enterprise Message Service (EMS) concepts.
- Working knowledge of TIBCO Enterprise Administrator (TEA) and TIBCO Hawk.
What else we look for (Preferred):
- Experience with EDI, Microsoft BizTalk Server 2020, or Progress MOVEit Automation.
