Associate – CAO Management
Location: Goregaon, Mumbai
CTC: ₹25–28 LPA (Depends on current CTC)

Role Overview
The Associate in the CAO Management role will be a strategic partner to the Chief Accounting Officer (India) and the leadership team, driving key business priorities, operational excellence, and cross-functional initiatives.
The ideal candidate will:
- Take end-to-end ownership of strategic initiatives, projects, and executive priorities, ensuring timely execution with minimal supervision.
- Apply strong analytical and commercial thinking to evaluate complex business challenges, anticipate risks, and develop practical, data-driven solutions.
- Drive execution with urgency by effectively managing multiple priorities, demonstrating sound judgment, and delivering high-quality outcomes in a fast-paced environment.
- Collaborate and influence across functions, building strong relationships with stakeholders to drive alignment, governance, and successful project delivery.
- Champion innovation and continuous improvement by leveraging technology, AI, automation, and process enhancements to improve efficiency and scalability.
- Demonstrate leadership presence, resilience, and intellectual curiosity by proactively challenging the status quo, embracing change, and contributing ideas that support the long-term growth of the CAO function.
Primary Responsibilities
Business Strategy & Execution
- Support Business Leaders in all aspects of business growth and transformation, including awareness of market trends and competitor activities.
- Support and influence new ideas and initiatives that drive business growth.
- Assist with technology integrations and data governance initiatives to improve efficiency and scalability.
Project Management
- Establish governance routines to manage complex processes, reporting, and strategic initiatives.
- Support the development of a multi-year roadmap for the team's operational capabilities and strategic priorities.
Coordination Across Enterprise Solutions
- Serve as a liaison between the CAO team and key enterprise functions, including Legal, Tax, Compliance, Human Capital, Technology, Enterprise Risk, Operations, Finance, and Investor Relations.
- Facilitate ongoing communication and collaboration across teams.
- Coordinate cross-functional initiatives, including new products and innovation efforts involving Legal, Tax, Operations, and Technology.
Ongoing Business Reviews & Reporting
- Contribute to recurring business reviews for senior leadership.
- Prepare updates on key initiatives, including growth strategy, data quality, financial reporting, and controls.
Special Projects
- Execute ad hoc requests from senior leadership.
- Support executive communications, reporting, presentations, and project timelines as required.
Qualifications & Experience
Experience
- 5+ years of relevant experience within an investment bank, consulting firm, asset manager, or corporate strategy function with a focus on financial reporting process improvements and project management.
Skills & Competencies
- Strong quantitative, analytical, and critical thinking skills.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills with the ability to clearly articulate ideas.
- Ability to work collaboratively while also operating independently in a fast-paced environment.
- Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities and meet deadlines.
- Proactive, detail-oriented, and self-motivated with a strong work ethic.
- Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel and PowerPoint.
- Strong technology mindset with a focus on automation and process improvement.
Education
- Bachelor's degree from an accredited institution.
