Logistics & Supply Chain Expert (Senior Consultant) • Experience: 5+ years in inventory and warehouse mgmt. • Education: MBA (Ops)/Master's in SCM • Key Requirements: o Optimized supply chains for 3+ MSME clusters o Cost reduction strategies Job Title: Logistics & Supply Chain Expert (Senior Consultant) Experience Level: 5+ years in logistics, supply chain management, or operations strategy Reporting To: Project Lead / Program Manager Role Summary: We are seeking a highly experienced Logistics & Supply Chain Expert (Senior Consultant) to support MSMEs in optimizing their end-to-end supply chain, logistics, inventory, and distribution models. The consultant will play a pivotal role in diagnosing bottlenecks, recommending scalable solutions, and driving supply chain digitization, cost-efficiency, and customer service improvements. Key Responsibilities: Assess current supply chain and logistics systems of client MSMEs Identify inefficiencies and propose process improvements in procurement, inventory, transportation, and warehousing Support MSMEs in implementing supply chain best practices, including demand forecasting, vendor management, and lean inventory Guide selection and implementation of SCM tools, ERP platforms, or TMS (Transportation Management Systems) Recommend cost-reduction strategies without compromising service levels Enable route optimization, packaging optimization, and last-mile delivery planning Train MSMEs on logistics documentation, INCOTERMS, customs, and compliance (if applicable to export) Create SOPs and frameworks for order fulfillment, reverse logistics, and warehouse layout Monitor KPI improvements (e.g., OTIF, inventory turnover ratio, lead time, logistics cost as % of sales) Facilitate linkages with third-party logistics (3PL) or fourth-party logistics (4PL) providers Desired Candidate Profile: Minimum 5 years of relevant experience in logistics and supply chain optimization, preferably in manufacturing, retail, or e-commerce sectors Proven track record of working with MSMEs or on government/NGO development projects (preferred) Strong understanding of inventory management, logistics planning, distribution network design, and warehouse management Exposure to SCM software (e.g., SAP SCM, Oracle, Zoho Inventory, Tally, or similar) Knowledge of Indian and international logistics regulations, E-way bills, GST implications on logistics, etc. Effective communication, analytical, and problem-solving skills Willingness to travel for on-site MSME diagnostics and implementation support Educational Qualifications: Bachelor's degree in Logistics, Supply Chain Management, Operations, or Engineering (mandatory) MBA/PGDM in Supply Chain/Operations Management (preferred) Relevant certifications such as CSCP (APICS), Six Sigma, or Lean Logistics will be an added advantage CTC- Young Professional (2+ years experience): 4-5 LPA (Lakhs Per Annum) Senior Consultant (5+ years experience): 8-9 LPA
