Job Summary
The Intercompany Arrangements (ICA) Associate Specialist is a key position within Northern Trust’s Service Level Governance and Reporting function. As an ICA Associate Specialist you need to ensure effective oversight, governance, and risk management in accordance with Northern Trust’s standards and regulatory requirements.
Major Duties
- Risk Assessment & Quality Checks: Oversee timely completion of risk assessments such as IRQ, DDQ and perform end to end quality check of the relationship across its lifecycle including IRQs and DDQs. Select risk-based samples for review and ensure logical, consistent responses. Log deficiencies, engage with the stakeholders for remediation and escalate unresolved issues.
- Contracting & Inventory Management: Verify proper storage and recording of ICSAs; ensure Service Descriptions are complete and meet required standards.
- Monitoring & Reporting: Conduct lifecycle monitoring of ICAs through KPIs/KRIs, Incident trigger events, Open Issues from 2LoD/3LoD or regulators. Also, ensure to log and report exceptions and breaches appropriately, and engage with stakeholders for taking necessary actions on the exceptions, escalate as required.
- Program Review & Data Reconciliation: Perform annual and semi-annual reviews of registers, lists, and inventories. Reconcile databases and ensure all documentation is up to date.
- Lead Projects: Identity and Lead projects to optimize the processes, enhance the system user experiences in Coupa, integration with other systems such as Service Now, feed key information for Virtual data center, etc.
- Management Reporting/Dashboards: Assist the team in preparing executive slides for management meeting and reporting, including providing overall status of the ICA Standard, highlight key issues, themes, challenges, ongoing projects etc.
Experience And Qualifications
Experience: 8+ Years of experience, post-graduation degree such as CA/MBA is preferred
- Strong understanding of and experience in risk management, governance, control and compliance preferred. Working experience in Third Party Risk Management will be an added advantage.
- Excellent analytical skills for and the ability to reviewing questionnaires, assessments, and reports.
- Attention to detail for documentation and logging.
- Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written, and proven ability to effectively interact with stakeholders.
- Familiarity with systems and tools such as Coupa CRA and SharePoint.
- Ability to accurately identify, escalate, and drive actions to mitigate priority risks
- Strong organization, attention to detail, time management, planning skills and the ability to handle multiple competing priorities
- Ability to develop strong relationships and build stakeholder alignment on key initiatives
Eligibility for Internal Partners
- 3 years as a Team Leader to move as a Section Manager currently at an Officer level.
- 24 months as a Consultant to move as a Senior Consultant. Movement within Senior Consultant and Section Manager is applicable if they have prior 36 months of people management experience.
