Role Description The Assistant Professor role at Rudra Institute of Technology is a full-time, on-site position based in Mawana. The role involves delivering lectures, tutorials, and laboratory sessions; designing and updating course materials; and evaluating student performance through assignments, examinations, and projects. The Assistant Professor will mentor and advise students on academic and career pathways, contribute to departmental activities, and participate in curriculum development aligned with institutional standards and accreditation requirements. Responsibilities also include engaging in scholarly activities such as research, publications, seminars, and workshops, as well as supporting institutional initiatives, committees, and community outreach as needed.
Qualifications
- Strong subject-matter expertise in the relevant discipline and ability to teach undergraduate and/or postgraduate courses effectively.
- Demonstrated skills in curriculum planning, lesson preparation, and student assessment, with a focus on learner-centered teaching.
- Proficiency in classroom management, academic mentoring, and providing constructive feedback to support student success.
- Ability to use educational technology, including learning management systems, online resources, and basic productivity tools.
- Evidence of research aptitude, such as publications, conference presentations, or ongoing scholarly projects.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills in English and a collaborative approach to working with colleagues and administration.
- Commitment to inclusive, gender-neutral, and non-discriminatory academic practices and support for diverse student backgrounds.
- Master’s degree in the relevant field from a recognized university; a Ph.D. or equivalent doctoral qualification is preferred and may be required as per regulatory norms.
- Prior teaching experience in higher education or related academic settings is highly desirable.
