Assistant Manager – Partnerships

for the AVGC-XR sector (Animation, Visual Effects, Gaming, Comics and Extended Reality). IICT
is backed by the Ministry of Information & Broadcasting, Government of India, Government
of Maharashtra, and industry bodies FICCI and CII.
IICT is building a future-ready ecosystem for creative technologies through education,
industry collaboration, research and skilling.
Role Overview
We are looking for a driven and execution-oriented professional to join IICT as Assistant
Manager – Partnerships.
This is a high-impact role focused on building and managing strategic partnerships across
academia, industry and institutional ecosystems.
In addition, this role requires strong para-legal and contract management capabilities, given
the volume of MOUs and agreements that will be executed.
The role will also work closely across functions to ensure alignment between marketing (lead
generation) and counselling (conversion), and will play a key role in strengthening the overall
admissions funnel.
The role will report directly to the COO and will play a key role in IICT’s growth and positioning
as a national institution.
This is an individual contributor role and will require a hands-on approach across all aspects
of partnerships, execution and coordination. Given IICT’s growth stage, the role may also
involve taking on additional responsibilities as required, and the ideal candidate should be
comfortable working in a dynamic, evolving environment.
Key Responsibilities
1. Strategic Partnerships & Incubation Ecosystem
• Build and manage partnerships across academia, industry and government
• Drive collaborations such as:
o Academic tie-ups
o Student exchange programs
o Research collaborations
o Industry partnerships
• Identify and develop long-term partnerships that strengthen IICT’s ecosystem and
positioning
• Engage with senior stakeholders across partner organizations to drive discussions and
build relationships
Startup Incubation & Ecosystem Operations
• Support operational management of IICT’s startup incubation initiatives
• Act as a coordination point between IICT and startup ecosystem partners
• Manage execution of incubation programs, including onboarding, tracking and
stakeholder coordination
• Work with internal and external stakeholders to ensure smooth functioning of
incubation initiatives
• Track progress, outcomes and engagement of incubated startups
2. Deal Structuring & Contract Management (Para-Legal Mandate)
• Lead discussions with partners to structure collaboration models
• Work closely with external legal counsel for drafting, reviewing and finalising MOUs
and agreements
• Ensure accuracy, completeness and timely closure of all contracts
• Track contract lifecycle, approvals and documentation
• Act as the internal owner for all partnership-related documentation
3. Execution & Coordination
• Work closely with Marketing, Counselling and Operations teams to ensure seamless
execution of partnerships
• Coordinate internally for approvals and externally with partners for execution
• Track progress of partnerships and ensure delivery of commitments

4. Relationship Management & MIS
• Manage ongoing relationships with partner institutions
• Ensure partner satisfaction and long-term engagement
• Identify opportunities to expand existing partnerships
• Maintain MIS and track status of all partnerships, agreements and deliverables
• Provide regular updates and reporting on partnership progress, outcomes and
pipeline
5. Admissions Coordination & Funnel Oversight
• Work closely with the counselling team to monitor lead follow-ups and conversion
progress
• Track and review the admissions funnel from lead generation to enrolment
• Liaise between Marketing (lead generation) and Counselling (conversion) to ensure
alignment
• Identify gaps in the funnel and drive follow-ups to improve conversion outcomes
• Support the counselling team with data, insights and coordination to ensure timely
conversions
Desired Candidate Profile
• 7–8 years of experience in partnerships, business development or institutional
collaborations
• Prior experience in education, edtech, or media & entertainment sectors is mandatory
• Strong exposure to contracts, MOUs and legal coordination (para-legal capability is
mandatory)
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with ability to engage confidently
with senior stakeholders
• Strong stakeholder management and relationship-building skills
• Ability to independently drive partnerships and manage end-to-end discussions
• Strong execution mindset with attention to detail
• Comfortable working across multiple teams and managing cross-functional
coordination
• High ownership mindset with willingness to take on diverse responsibilities beyond
defined role boundaries
• Open to travel as required for partnership development and stakeholder meetings
Compensation & Structure
• Engagement: Contract role
• Payment structure: Remuneration will be paid as professional fees (net of applicable
TDS)
