SUMMARY: The purpose of the Warehouse/Facilities Operations Assistant is to provide general facility support and serve as a backup to the Security Operations Department Manager. This position will be responsible for all warehouse/dock services, such as shipping and receiving, mail/package deliveries, warehousing, and inventory of pharmacy and general office supplies. It will also work with building service vendors.
In addition, this position will provide a safe and secure work environment, with an emphasis on the protection of people, property, and products, and on Warehouse/Dock Safety.
DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Perform the physical and/or administrative tasks involved in shipping, receiving, warehousing, and supplies inventory management
- Use of Dock equipment such as Pallet Jacks, electric pallet jacks, and other dock-related equipment.
- Process incoming and outgoing UPS, FedEx, courier deliveries, etc., and deliver packages and boxes to office recipients.
- Provide general facility support by fulfilling routine light maintenance work, room setup, moving office equipment, and furniture
- Works with internal/external stakeholders and providesgeneral support.
- Make routine checks of the facility and equipment, ensuring safety and security.
- Perform any necessary follow-up tasks to ensure the facility is secure. Assistin all emergencies such as fire alarms, tornado warnings, medical emergencies, etc.
- Monitor and implement established security and facility policies and proceduresforall employees, guests,and vendors,which includesprovidingaccess capabilities, identification badges forcontrolledentry to the facility, andmonitoringthe facility and perimeter parking areas.
- Make routine checks ofthefacility,ensuring safety and security. Complete interior and exterior building patrols 3-4 times each shift, noting any irregularities.Checkingall secured areas,including computer and datarooms, and electrical closets throughoutAssistRxproperty.
- Train and work within theBrivosecurity database or similar. Load access cards in the system whenrequiredandadd/deleteaccess as needed. Be able to run database reports when requested by thedepartment'sSecurity Manager. Work with established access groups within the security database.
- Assistin all emergency situations such as fire alarms, tornado warnings, medical emergencies, etc. Serve as the point of contact and chief warden during drills and liveemergenciesat the facility. Be Familiar with all assembly areas and escape routes, and coordinate drills annually.

PHYSICAL DEMANDS AND WORK ENVIORNMENT:
- Prolonged periods of standing and walking throughout the warehouse and facility.
- Ability to lift and carry items up to 50 pounds occasionally.
- May requireassistanceor use of equipment for heavier items.
- Frequent bending, stooping, crouching, or kneeling to access materials or inspect inventory.
- Occasional climbing of stairs or ladders to access higher storage areas.
- Use ofhands and arms tooperatetools, equipment, or handle inventory and paperwork.
- Close, distance, and peripheral vision as well as depth perception to navigate the warehouse andoperateequipment safely.
- Clear hearing and speaking ability for effective communication with team members and while operating equipment.
- Pushing and pulling carts, pallets, or equipment as needed.
- Exposure to varying temperatures depending on warehouse climate.
- May involve noise from machinery, forklifts, and warehouse operations
