About the Company
Wyngx is an aviation documentary channel with over 350,000 subscribers. We make cinematic thriller-style videos about real aviation disasters. Our videos routinely run 30 to 45 minutes. We are looking for an assistant editor based in India to join a small, fast-moving remote team.
Role Description
You'll work across the full post-production pipeline, including ingesting raw footage, building assembly cuts, colour grading, and integrating motion graphics into a polished timeline. You'll work closely with the lead editor and production team to hit deadlines without sacrificing quality. Turnaround is fast. Attention to detail is non-negotiable.
The content we make is technically demanding. A single video might include flight simulator footage, archival news clips, animated maps, cockpit audio, on-screen data overlays, and a 40-minute narration track. You need to be able to hold all of that together and make it feel like one thing.
What we are looking for
- Prior experience editing long-form documentary or factual content is a real advantage
- Solid, working proficiency in DaVinci Resolve - this is our primary NLE and colour tool
- Motion graphics capability, preferably in After Effects
- Excellent communication. We are fully remote and clarity matters
- Ability to work independently and flag problems early, not at the deadline
- A strong eye for pacing. You should be able to feel when a cut is too early or too late
- Motion graphics capability, preferably in Fusion or After Effects
