Job Title: AVP – IT/Cloud

Role Overview

We are seeking a seasoned AVP –IT/ Cloud with 12+ years of experience, to lead enterprise cloud strategy, data centre operations, and managed IT services. This role will be responsible for driving digital transformation, ensuring high availability of mission-critical infrastructure, and building scalable, secure, and cost-efficient cloud & DC ecosystems.

Key Responsibilities

1. Cloud Strategy & Transformation

• Define and execute multi-cloud strategy across AWS, Azure, and GCP.
• Lead large-scale cloud migration (lift & shift, re-platforming, re-architecting).
• Drive cloud-native adoption (micro services, containers, server less).
• Optimize cloud cost (FinOps) and performance.

2. Data Center Strategy & Operations

• Oversee design, setup, and operations of Tier III / Tier IV data centres.
• Ensure uptime, redundancy, and disaster recovery (DR/BCP) readiness.
• Manage colocation, hyperscaler integration, and hybrid cloud environments.
• Drive DC modernization including virtualization and software-defined infrastructure.

3. IT Infrastructure & Service Delivery

• Lead IT infrastructure operations (compute, storage, network, backup).
• Ensure SLA-driven managed services delivery and incident management.
• Implement ITIL-based service management practices.
• Drive automation, monitoring, and observability frameworks.

4. Leadership & Governance

• Lead large teams across Cloud, DC Ops, Network, and DevOps.
• Define KPIs, governance frameworks, and operational excellence standards.
• Manage vendor ecosystem (OEMs, cloud providers, MSPs).

5. Security & Compliance

• Ensure compliance with ISO 27001, SOC2, GDPR, and other standards.
• Implement enterprise security architecture (IAM, SIEM, SOC, Zero Trust).
• Drive vulnerability management and risk mitigation strategies.

6. Business Growth & Pre-Sales

• Support enterprise deals with solutioning and architecture design.
• Work closely with sales for RFPs, RFIs, and technical proposals.
• Own P&L, cost optimization, and revenue growth initiatives.

• OpenStack / KVM

Storage & Backup

• SAN/NAS (Dell EMC, NetApp, HPE 3PAR)
• Object storage solutions
• Backup tools (Veeam, Commvault, Veritas NetBackup)

Networking

• Cisco, Juniper, Arista switches/routers
• Software Defined Networking (SDN)
• Load balancers (F5, NGINX)

Containers & DevOps

• Docker, Kubernetes (EKS, AKS, GKE)
• CI/CD tools (Jenkins, GitLab, Azure DevOps)
• Infrastructure as Code (Terraform, Ansible)

Monitoring & Observability

• Tools: Prometheus, Grafana, ELK Stack, Zabbix, Nagios
• APM tools and log analytics platforms.

Security Stack

• Firewalls (Palo Alto, Fortinet)
• SIEM (Splunk, IBM QRadar)
• IAM, DLP, Endpoint security solutions

Cloud & Hybrid Integration

• AWS, Azure, GCP
• Hybrid cloud tools (Azure Arc, AWS Outposts)
• Direct Connect / ExpressRoute

Required Skills & Qualifications

• Bachelor’s/Master’s in Computer Science / IT.
• 12+ yearsof experience in Cloud, Data Center, and IT Infrastructure.
• Minimum 5+ years in leadership roles managing large teams.
• Proven experience in:
• Data center operations & cloud transformation
• Large enterprise solution architecture
• Managed services delivery

Preferred Certifications

• AWS / Azure / GCP Architect Certifications
• VMware (VCP/VCAP)
• ITIL / PMP / TOGAF
• CISSP (good to have)
