π― Role Overview
We are looking for a proactive and results-driven Assistant Vice President β Sales (Fintech) to lead field sales operations across digital payments ecosystems, including QR deployments, merchant acquisition, UPI/payment solutions, and retail fintech distribution.
The role requires a strong leader capable of managing regional sales teams, driving revenue growth, expanding merchant networks, and ensuring operational excellence in line with fintech standards.
πΌ Key Responsibilities
πΉ Business & Revenue Leadership
- Support P&L ownership for assigned regions within Fintech Sales vertical
- Execute go-to-market strategies for digital payment solutions
- Drive merchant acquisition, onboarding & activation
- Lead cross-sell and value-added initiatives to enhance merchant lifetime value
- Contribute to topline growth and market penetration
πΉ Sales Strategy & Expansion
- Implement scalable field sales frameworks across multiple cities
- Identify new geographies, merchant segments & channel opportunities
- Collaborate with product and marketing teams for solution positioning
- Support incentive programs and productivity models
πΉ Leadership & Team Management
- Manage and mentor multi-city field sales teams
- Foster a performance-driven culture
- Track KPIs and implement accountability systems
- Assist in hiring and grooming next-line leadership
πΉ Operational Excellence
- Monitor merchant onboarding funnel and improve activation ratios
- Identify and reduce process inefficiencies
- Strengthen territory planning & field productivity tracking
- Implement data-driven performance improvements
πΉ Compliance & Governance
- Ensure adherence to fintech regulatory and operational standards
- Implement risk mitigation processes
- Promote ethical and compliant sales practices
πΉ Reporting & Stakeholder Management
- Lead business reviews with senior management
- Track key KPIs including acquisition cost, activation rate & productivity metrics
- Build strong relationships with fintech partners and ecosystem stakeholders
π Qualifications
- Bachelorβs Degree in Business / Marketing / Finance
- MBA preferred
- 8β10 years of progressive sales experience
- Minimum 3+ years in fintech sales leadership (Digital Payments / Merchant Acquisition Mandatory)
