Role Description
This Full-time on-site role, based in Gurugram, is for an Assistant Underwriter in Group Business. The Assistant Underwriter will assist in assessing and analyzing group health insurance and group personal accident insurance applications. Key responsibilities include reviewing insurance proposals, applying company underwriting guidelines, assessing risks, calculating premiums, and coordinating with internal teams to ensure smooth processing. The role also involves managing documentation, maintaining compliance with regulations, and providing exceptional service to clients and partners.
Qualifications
- Proficiency in assessing insurance proposals, risk evaluation, and applying underwriting guidelines
- Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities, along with attention to detail
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills for client and team interactions
- Knowledge of Group Health Insurance, Group Personal Accident Insurance, and related processes
- Proficiency in using underwriting and management software tools is a plus
- Ability to multitask and manage time effectively in high-pressure scenarios
- Previous experience in insurance or underwriting roles is advantageous
- Bachelor's degree in Insurance, Finance, Business Administration, or a related field
