Job Summary:
This role is essential for ensuring smooth and efficient transportation for employees, which includes
shuttle services, buses, cabs, CSR buses, Ad Hoc cabs, and special duties.
The Assistant Employee Transport Manager plays a crucial role in coordinating and overseeing
transportation services for employees, ensuring their safe and timely commutes to and from the
workplace.
Key Responsibilities:
● Transportation Coordination:
1. Assist in planning and coordinating employee transportation services, including
shuttle services, buses, cabs, CSR buses, Ad Hoc cabs, special duties.
2. Help create efficient transportation schedules to ensure timely arrivals and
departures.
3. Collaborate with relevant departments to understand employee transportation
needs and make adjustments as necessary.
● Route Optimization:
1. Analyse transportation routes and schedules to identify opportunities for
optimization and cost reduction.
2. Assist in implementing efficient route changes and improvements to enhance
transportation services.
● Fleet Management:
1. Assist in managing the organization's transportation fleet, including compliance ,
induction, regular inspections
2. Compliance and Safety, Ensure that all transportation services comply with local,
state, and federal regulations.
3. Assist in developing and enforcing safety policies and procedures for employee
transportation.
● Vendor Management:
1. With the help of the supply team, collaborate with transportation service providers.
2. Monitor vendor performance and address any issues promptly.
3. Maintain open and effective communication channels to address
transportation-related concerns and suggestions.
4. Assist in the creation of communication materials related to transportation
schedules and updates.
● Budget Management:
1. Track budgets V/s actual
2. Assist in cost control measures and finding opportunities for cost savings.
Qualifications:
1. Bachelor's degree in any stream however preferred transportation management,
logistics, or a related field.
2. Previous experience in transportation coordination or management is a plus.
3. Knowledge of transportation regulations and safety standards.
4. Strong organizational and problem-solving skills.
5. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
6. Proficiency in using transportation management software and tools. Added
advantage knowledge of ‘MoveInSync’ application
7. Ability to work collaboratively in a team and with external vendors.
8. Flexibility to adapt to changing transportation needs and schedules.
