POSITION OVERVIEW
BNP Paribas is looking for a seasoned, detail‑oriented PMO professional to build, operate, and continuously improve the Project Management Office that supports the bank’s cross‑departmental delivery across multiple geographic sites. The incumbent will define standards, consolidate reporting, manage portfolio‑level risks and benefits, and serve as the central hub for governance and stakeholder alignment. Strong analytical ability, a keen eye for detail, and accountability for portfolio performance are essential.
JOB RESPONSIBILITIES
- Create and continuously update decks for project briefings, steering‑committee updates, and stakeholder meetings. Create and update manual test sets when needed.
- Design and chair the Project Steering Committee; define decision‑making authority, escalation paths, and stage
- Maintain the RAID log and risk matrix; identify, document, and flag emerging risks to the Project Manager and relevant stakeholders for prompt mitigation
- Track all action items to ensure timely completion; record and validate team timesheets for accurate effort‑tracking and cost reporting.
- Schedule and run all project ceremonies (kick‑offs, daily stand‑ups, reviews, retrospectives, etc.).Act as the primary point of contact for routine queries, providing timely assistance to the Project Manager.
- Maintain a holistic view of the entire portfolio, guaranteeing data integrity and up‑to‑date status across all initiatives
- Establish a benefits‑realization framework (KPIs, target‑state metrics, measurement cadence). Monitor benefit dashboards and trigger corrective actions when projected value deviates
- Own the project budget, consolidate forecasts, track actual spend, and report variance to Finance and senior leadership. Conduct cost‑benefit and ROI analyses for change requests and scope adjustments, complying with Finance policies and regulatory requirements.
- Oversee formal project close‑out: final benefit verification, financial reconciliation, and archival of artefacts. Lead lessons‑learned sessions and publish a “Project Playbook” for future initiatives
- Design and execute structured transition plans (training, SOPs, hyper‑care) that move solutions into steady state with minimal disruption. Conduct change‑readiness assessments and manage hand‑offs.
- Translate day‑to‑day execution into long‑term strategic outcomes and communicate effectively with finance, sales, and operations stakeholders
REQUIRED EDUCATION, SKILLS AND EXPERIENCE (MUST‑HAVE)
- Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Engineering, Computer Science, Information Systems, or a closely related field plus one or more of the following Professional certification or its equivalent recognized .
- 10 + years of hands‑on experience with Microsoft Project, Jira Advanced Roadmaps, or equivalent; ability to configure, track, and report on initiatives.
- Expert in formulas, pivot tables, Power Query, Power Pivot, and data visualization for dashboards, variance analysis, and forecasting.
- Ability to design and execute transition plans, stakeholder readiness assessments, training roll‑outs, and hyper‑care support.
- Proven expertise in portfolio‑level risk registers, impact‑probability assessments, budgeting, cost tracking, ROI/benefit realization, and financial reconciliation.
- Understanding of Scrum ceremonies, backlog grooming, sprint planning and ability to blend Agile practices within a traditionally structured PMO.

- PRINCE2 Practitioner

- Portfolio, Program and Project Offices (P3O)
- PMI Agile Certified Practitioner (PMI-ACP)
- Familiarity with TFS/Azure DevOps concepts to communicate effectively with technical delivery teams.
- Use metrics, KPIs, and analytics (Earned Value Management, trend‑analysis visualizations) to inform course corrections, resource re‑allocation, and benefit validation
