Financial returns:
- Control flow and supply of operating equipment, arrange requisition of par stocks and supplies of stewarding storeroom.
- Practice economy of chemical & cleaning supplies, electricity and water whenever possible.
People:
- Manage day-to-day staffing requirements, plan and assign work, and establish performance and development goals for employees. Provide mentoring, coaching and regular feedback to help manage conflict and improve employee performance.
- Educate and train all employees in compliance with governmental and safety regulations. Ensure staff are properly trained and have the tools and equipment to carry out job duties.
- Promote teamwork and quality service through daily communication and coordination with other department heads.
- Undertake and execute with deep cleaning projects for all areas as per area mapping
Guest experience:
- Build and maintain positive relationships with all internal customers in order to exceed their needs
- Take action to address these needs in order to exceed their expectations
- Create a positive hotel image in every interaction with internal and external customers
- Adhere to hotel brand standards
- Inspect all assigned F&B and kitchen areas. Advise employees of deficiencies and instruct on corrective action. Provide adequate retraining as needed.
- Routinely perform all Stewarding functions to ensure guest satisfaction.
- Respond to guest complaints, special requests and ensure corrective action is taken to achieve complete guest satisfaction.
- Implement procedures which enhance the guest experience
Responsible business:
- Maintain and order supplies and equipment in a timely and efficient manner while minimizing waste and maintaining ‘green’ initiatives (example: container recycling and cleaning agents).
- May maintain procedures for security of lost and found items.
- Be aware of duty of care and adhere to occupational, health and safety legislation, policies and procedures
- Be familiar with property safety, first aid and fire and emergency procedures and operate equipment safely and sensibly
- Initiate action to correct a hazardous situation and notify supervisors of potential dangers
