Role Description The Assistant Sales Manager / Sales Manager is a full-time, on-site role based in Dwarka, responsible for driving revenue growth and strengthening market presence for IHCL’s brands. The role involves identifying and developing new business opportunities, managing key corporate, travel trade, and group accounts, and maintaining strong relationships with existing clients. The individual will prepare and deliver sales presentations, negotiate rate agreements and contracts, and regularly follow up to ensure high levels of client satisfaction and repeat business. Day-to-day activities include preparing sales reports and forecasts, analyzing market trends and competitor activity, coordinating with revenue management and marketing teams to design and implement sales strategies, and ensuring adherence to IHCL’s service and brand standards. The role also includes participation in sales events, trade shows, and property visits, as well as close collaboration with operations teams to ensure seamless service delivery for contracted clients.
Qualifications
- Strong sales and business development capabilities, including account management, relationship building, lead generation, and negotiation skills.
- Proficiency in market analysis and planning, such as understanding demand patterns, competitor benchmarking, rate strategy, and sales forecasting.
- Effective communication and presentation skills, including the ability to prepare proposals, conduct client meetings, and deliver persuasive sales pitches.
- Customer service and stakeholder management skills, with a focus on client satisfaction, issue resolution, and long-term partnership building.
- Experience in hospitality or related service industries, with familiarity in hotel sales, corporate and MICE segments, and travel trade networks.
- Strong organizational and time management skills, including pipeline tracking, CRM usage, and follow-up discipline.
- Bachelor’s degree in Hospitality Management, Business Administration, Marketing, or a related field; a postgraduate qualification is an advantage.
