Role Description The Assistant Sales Manager is a full-time, on-site role based at a Marriott property in Dehradun. This role supports the sales team in driving revenue through the acquisition and retention of corporate, group, and leisure business. Day-to-day responsibilities include assisting with sales planning, responding to inquiries, preparing proposals and contracts, and maintaining accurate records in sales systems. The Assistant Sales Manager collaborates with operations, front office, and revenue management to ensure seamless delivery of booked business and strong guest satisfaction. The role also involves participating in sales calls, client meetings, local networking activities, and market research to identify new business opportunities.
Qualifications
- Sales and business development skills, including lead generation, account management, and relationship building with corporate and group clients.
- Strong communication and presentation abilities, with confidence in client-facing interactions and internal collaboration.
- Organizational and administrative skills, including proficiency with CRM or sales management systems, reporting, and documentation.
- Analytical and commercial awareness, such as understanding of revenue management principles, market trends, and competitive positioning.
- Customer service orientation and interpersonal skills to support high guest satisfaction and long-term client partnerships.
- Ability to work on-site in Dehradun, manage multiple priorities, and coordinate effectively with cross-functional hotel teams.
- Bachelor’s degree in hospitality, business, marketing, or a related field, or equivalent practical experience in hotel or service-sector sales.
- Prior experience in hospitality sales or front office operations is preferred; knowledge of Marriott brands and standards is an advantage.
