Role Description This is a full-time, on-site Assistant Sales and Marketing Manager role based at The Park Elanza in Chennai. The role involves supporting the development and execution of sales and marketing strategies to increase room revenue, F&B sales, event bookings, and brand visibility. Day-to-day responsibilities include identifying and engaging potential corporate and leisure clients, maintaining relationships with existing partners, and conducting market research to track competitors and demand trends. The Assistant Sales and Marketing Manager will help plan and implement digital and offline campaigns, manage social media content and promotions in coordination with the marketing team, and support the creation of sales presentations and proposals. The role also includes preparing sales reports, monitoring performance against targets, coordinating with operations and front office teams to ensure guest expectations are met, and assisting in organizing promotional events, hotel familiarization visits, and brand partnerships.
Qualifications
- Proven experience in hotel sales, business development, or hospitality account management, preferably in upscale or luxury properties.
- Strong marketing acumen, including exposure to digital marketing, social media promotions, and brand positioning in the hospitality sector.
- Excellent communication, presentation, and negotiation skills, with the ability to build and maintain professional relationships with corporate, travel, and event clients.
- Solid analytical and reporting abilities, including comfort with sales targets, forecasting, market research, and using data to inform strategy.
- Strong coordination and organizational skills to manage multiple campaigns, client follow-ups, and internal stakeholder requirements simultaneously.
- Customer-centric mindset with a passion for luxury hospitality, high service standards, and guest satisfaction.
- Proficiency with MS Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint) and familiarity with hotel CRM, PMS, or sales tools is an advantage.
- Bachelor’s degree in Hospitality Management, Business, Marketing, or a related field preferred; relevant experience may be considered in lieu of formal education.
- Ability to work flexible hours, including weekends or evenings when required for events, client meetings, or property promotions.
