JUSTDOGS is looking for a friendly, confident and customer-focused Assistant Store Manager to join our store team. The ideal candidate should have good communication skills, enjoy interacting with customers and be comfortable working around pets.
The role involves assisting pet parents, recommending suitable products and ensuring a positive shopping experience.
Key Responsibilities
- Welcome customers and understand their pet-care requirements.
- Assist customers in selecting suitable food, accessories, grooming products and other pet-care items.
- Explain product features, benefits and usage clearly.
- Maintain product displays, stock levels and store cleanliness.
- Support billing and other daily store operations.
- Build strong relationships with customers and encourage repeat visits.
- Handle customer questions and concerns professionally.
- Work comfortably around dogs, cats and other pets visiting the store.
- Achieve individual and store sales targets.
- Follow JUSTDOGS service standards and store procedures.
Requirements
- Good verbal communication and interpersonal skills.
- Comfortable interacting and working with pets.
- Friendly, helpful and customer-oriented attitude.
- Basic sales and product-presentation skills.
- Ability to work in a team.
- Willingness to learn about pet nutrition, products and pet care.
- Flexibility to work on weekends, public holidays and rotational shifts.
- Previous retail or sales experience is preferred but not mandatory.
