Role Description The Assistant Restaurant Manager is a full-time, on-site role based in the Pune Division. This position supports the Restaurant Manager in overseeing daily operations, including supervising front-of-house staff, coordinating with the kitchen team, and ensuring smooth service during all shifts. Key responsibilities include monitoring guest experience, handling customer feedback, assisting with staff scheduling, and helping manage inventory and basic cost controls. The Assistant Restaurant Manager will participate in hiring, onboarding, and training team members, and will help implement service standards and operational policies. This role also involves maintaining a clean, safe environment, ensuring compliance with food safety and hygiene regulations, and contributing to promotional activities and special events planning.
Qualifications
- Strong customer-facing skills, including Customer Service and Customer Satisfaction, with a focus on delivering consistent, positive guest experiences.
- Effective Communication skills, both verbal and written, to coordinate with staff, address guest concerns, and support clear operational instructions.
- Experience with Hiring and onboarding restaurant staff, including interviewing, evaluating candidates, and supporting staff training.
- Knowledge of Food & Beverage operations, including menu comprehension, basic food safety practices, and coordination between kitchen and service staff.
- Previous experience in restaurant or hospitality supervision or leadership is preferred.
- Ability to work flexible hours, including evenings, weekends, and holidays as required by restaurant operations.
- Strong organizational skills, attention to detail, and ability to handle multiple tasks in a fast-paced environment.
- Basic understanding of POS systems, cash handling, and inventory tracking is an advantage.
- Diploma or degree in Hospitality Management or a related field is beneficial but not mandatory.
