Role Description The Assistant Relationship Manager – Field will be a full-time, on-site team member based in Chennai, focused on building and maintaining strong relationships with individual and corporate clients. This role involves meeting clients in person, understanding their insurance needs, explaining suitable products, and supporting them through the policy selection and documentation process. The Assistant Relationship Manager will coordinate with internal teams to ensure timely policy issuance, assist clients with claim-related queries, and provide regular follow-ups to enhance customer satisfaction and retention. Daily responsibilities include field visits, lead follow-up, data collection, and accurate reporting of sales activities and customer feedback. The role requires adherence to regulatory guidelines and company standards while delivering a professional, consultative experience to every client.
Qualifications
- Strong customer relationship management skills, including client communication, needs assessment, and follow-up.
- Sales and business development capability, with experience in fieldwork, lead generation, and conversion in financial services or insurance preferred.
- Basic understanding of insurance products (motor, life, health, term, retirement) and willingness to learn regulatory and policy details.
- Proficiency in verbal and written communication in English and local languages; ability to explain complex information in a simple, clear manner.
- Good organizational and time-management skills, with attention to detail in documentation and reporting.
- Comfort with using mobile apps and basic computer tools (MS Office, email, online portals) for daily operations.
- Ability to work in the field, travel within Chennai as required, and collaborate effectively with internal teams.
- Minimum educational qualification: graduate degree in any discipline; experience in insurance, banking, or financial services is an advantage.
