Role Description
The Assistant Purchaser will support the procurement team in facilitating and monitoring the purchase of raw materials, supplies, and equipment. Responsibilities include researching suppliers, negotiating prices and contracts, preparing purchase orders, tracking inventory levels, and ensuring timely delivery of goods. This is a full-time on-site role, located in Ranchi, requiring collaboration with cross-functional teams to ensure uninterrupted production and compliance with quality standards.
Qualifications
- Proficiency in procurement processes, vendor management, and inventory controls
- Strong analytical and basic financial skills for evaluating cost efficiency
- Effective negotiation and communication skills
- Attention to detail and ability to work in a fast-paced manufacturing environment
- Experience with procurement software and a good working knowledge of MS Excel
- Familiarity with the steel or manufacturing industry is a plus
- Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Supply Chain Management, or related field
- Ability to work collaboratively within a team and manage time effectively
