Company Overview:
We are an OEM approved auto components vendor to TVS Motor Company, located in Hosur, Tamil Nadu, specializing in steel fabrication, mechanical assembly, and in-house powder coating of automotive parts. This role is part of a cross functional team (production, planning, purchase, stores, quality, logistics) and drives end to end planning, scheduling, and shop floor control for high volume automotive components manufacturing.
Key Responsibilities.
- Strong background in Operational & Direct (BOM) Procurement.
- Monthly Material Planning, Scheduling and Budgeting, SOB Management for RMC.
- Safety stock (maintaining Min/Max levels).
- Achieve 100% alignment of RMC supply against production requirements with zero shortages.
- Proficiency in SAP and MS Office.
- Ensure 100% accuracy and timeliness of purchase order Processing, Purchase order amendment processing, debit/credit notes on time as the PO amendment, ensuring quarter-wise closing and maintaining accurate amendment records.
- SRM (Supplier relation management) and Coordination. Collaborate with the suppliers & sub-contractors to co-create value in terms of quality, cost and delivery in the best interest of the business
- Experience in developing supplier and RM & Component development.
- Good understanding of Engineering Drawing, Cycle Time, and Knowledge of MHR based Costing and Zero-Based Costing.
- Single point communicator to NPD, Costing department and Customer (If required) for submission of development time-plan of parts, supporting evidence for costing and planning.
- Good Knowledge of Handling Purchases from Steel manufacturing and metal fabrication industries.
- Strong knowledge of Commodities like - Forging, Machining, Sheet Metal components, Spring & Rubber, Tubular Components, CEW & ERW Tubes
- Driving VA/VE, SOB, Alternate Source, Review activities to initiate cost savings. Strategy for reducing Job –work (Sub-Con) cost.
- Supplier Rating. Supplier audits & Evaluation for Improvements.
- Designing and developing annual purchase budgets.
- Good Understanding of Inventory Management & Inventory Turnover Ratio, ABC Analysis.
- Variance analysis occurred in Physical verification at Sub –Contractor end. Conducting Perpetual Inventory at Sub-Con End in coordination to stores.
- System audits for P2P, Sub-Con Management and Inventory management
- Monthly MIS as per prescribed format by HOD.
- Knowledge of Quality management system like ISO & IATF.
Qualification and Experience
- Mandatory Automotive and Auto Part Manufacturers & Suppliers to leading 2-Wheeler & 3-Wheeler OEM’s.
- Mandatory: BE / B.Tech in Mechanical / Automobile Engineering.
- MBA / PG in Materials Management or Supply Chain Management will be added advantage.
- 7 TO 10 Years’ Experience.
- SAP MM Module.
- MS – Excel and Power Point.
Salary Criteria 7 lac - 9 lac P.a.
