We are looking for a proactive and detail-oriented Assistant Project Manager to support the planning, coordination, and successful execution of multidisciplinary engineering consultancy projects.
About the role:
As an Assistant Project Manager, you will work closely with Project Managers and multidisciplinary engineering teams to ensure projects are delivered on time, within budget, and to the highest quality standards. The role requires excellent organizational skills, technical understanding, stakeholder management, and the ability to coordinate multiple projects simultaneously.
Key Responsibilities:
- Assist Project Managers in planning, executing, monitoring, and closing engineering consultancy projects.
- Coordinate multidisciplinary teams including Architecture, Civil, Structural, MEP, Water Resources, Geotechnical, Environmental, and Survey departments.
- Prepare and maintain project schedules, work plans, milestone trackers, and resource plans.
- Monitor project progress and identify schedule risks or bottlenecks.
- Coordinate client meetings, prepare Minutes of Meeting (MoM), and track action items.
- Ensure timely delivery of drawings, reports, DPRs, specifications, BOQs, and technical documents.
- Support contract administration, project documentation, and change management.
- Monitor project budgets, invoicing milestones, and overall project performance.
- Coordinate internal design reviews and ensure compliance with QA/QC procedures.
- Liaise with clients, contractors, consultants, and government authorities for project approvals and coordination.
- Prepare weekly and monthly progress reports, dashboards, and management presentations.
- Maintain project documentation in accordance with the company's document control procedures.
- Participate in site visits, technical review meetings, and project coordination meetings as required.
- Assist in identifying project risks and implementing mitigation measures.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's Degree in Civil Engineering (preferred).
- Master's Degree in Engineering or Construction Management is an advantage.
- PMP®, PRINCE2®, or equivalent project management certification will be an added advantage.
Experience:
- 3–7 years of experience in engineering consulting, infrastructure, EPC, or project management.
- Experience in multidisciplinary engineering projects is preferred.
- Exposure to government infrastructure projects, DPR preparation, and design consultancy is highly desirable.
